26 years after the show's cancellation, The Crystal Maze is revived for a one-off "Stand Up to Cancer" charity special with special host Stephen Merchant. Five celebrities, broadcaster Sara Cox, actress Michelle Keegan, Paralympics sprint runner Jonnie Peacock, comedian and The Last Leg (2012) co-host Josh Widdicombe, who was a big fan of the original show, and former footballer Rio Ferdinand as their team captain, face the challenges of the Crystal Maze to win £25,000 for Cancer Research UK. Stephen agrees to shave his head for the special, but there is no way he will let the team win with ease just because it is for a good cause.
