Episode 1
Welcome to Suburbia

Evie and Pete have just moved into their house in the suburbs in preparation for the expansion of their family with Evie being twenty-four weeks pregnant. They are welcomed with open arms by Becka and Danny, who live across the street, although both couples express their true initial feelings about their new neighbors in the privacy of their own homes. An incident makes the two couples bond, especially important for Evie in Danny and especially Becka being the antithesis of her unsupportive, religiously fanatical parents, most specifically her father. Danny contemplates earning money against the rules of being a cop, all in a need to pay off his own debts about which Becka does not know. And with Jean being confined to the main floor of their house in her immobility, Alan is able to conduct much of his stalking of Becka without detection, that private stalking upstairs which includes online and spying on her through a telescope.

Tangled Temptations

Evie, Pete, Becka, and Danny go on a day outing together to the beach. In their slightly inebriated state, Becka and Danny divulge the open nature of their relationship, albeit one where they only play together. Later in the privacy of their own homes, each couple talks about the issue further, it opening the floodgates of emotions within Evie about herself as a sexual being and one where she is the wife to seemingly more reserved Pete, and Becka in particular in their couple contemplating breaking their own set boundaries in the matter. Having seen the four leave for what he could only assume was for the entire day, Alan moves to the next phase of his stalking of Becka without detection, or so he believes. A subsequent encounter he has with Danny makes Alan contemplate taking a different tact in that stalking. And while Danny and Gary are able to talk their way out with their superior in being caught using their police motorcycles in what looked to be non-official business, getting caught which spooks Danny, Gary is able to talk him into doing another job.
Episode 3
Blurred Boundaries

Danny reflects on what happened with his and Gary's latest job. He has somewhat mixed emotions in needing the money for Lena and his end goal of having a relationship with Ethan. In his increasing fixation with Becka, Alan seems oblivious to the fact that his upstairs sanctuary may soon be no more as Jean is in the process of having a stair-lift installed. In knowing that Becka and Danny are once again gone for an extended period may be too much of a temptation for Alan. In not checking her social media except to post items and no one in the know having said anything to her, Becka is thus far unaware of what has been posted on her site and it being the reason for many recent negative issues in her life. And with a free spa vacation given to her, Becka invites Evie and by association Pete to join her and Danny. All four of them may see the inevitability of this romantic getaway being their first foray in playing together sexually, with Pete, the one who is outwardly the most reluctant for something to happen, being the biggest question mark.
Episode 4
The Miracle

Evie, Pete, Becka, and Danny are dealing with the aftermath of their spa weekend, each of the four who handles it differently based on their history with open relationships, and how emotionally invested each was in the weekend happening which may have nothing to do with that history in Becka and Danny breaking their own rule of not doing it with friends. While Becka and Danny may be outwardly less emotionally invested in having that history, they end up having to deal with other turmoil in their lives, Becka with the posts on her website which threaten her reputation and livelihood, Danny the threat from Spencer to recover the diamonds or else and he trying to eke out a relationship with Ethan without Becka's knowledge, and both of them in someone seemingly having broken into their house while they were away at the spa. Meanwhile, Jean keeps Alan's stalking of Becka a secret, at least for now, in the power it affords her in Alan's debilitated and thus dependent state. In their immediate futures, further secrets that each of Evie, Pete, Becka and Danny are keeping slowly have the possibility of breaking the surface into sunlight.
Episode 5
The Ultimatum

There is a slow disintegration of Pete and Evie's marriage in Pete discovering Evie's lies of omission, those lies largely to hide her increasing obsession with Danny. He issues her an ultimatum, the "or else" the end of their marriage. He also has increasing animosity with the "third", Danny, which is only exacerbated by what Pete and Sophie discover in their story regarding Danny's involvement with Robbie Spencer. Meanwhile, Danny and Gary take a risk in trying to retrieve the diamonds to neutralize the threat from Robbie. In the matter, Danny is placed in a difficult position after a tête-à-tête with Pete. Each twosome in the combination of Becka, Alan and Jean have a frank discussion in Becka learning that the geographic location of the anonymous online posts came from Alan and Jean's house. And Becka continues to meet with Lena without Danny's knowledge.
Episode 6
Crimes of Passion

All three marriages in the cul-de-sac are now openly on rough ground. As Jean discovers more and more about Alan's activities conducted when he thought she was oblivious to it all, she makes some decisions about her, his and their joint futures. Becka discovers some of Danny's secrets on her own, and pushes him, upon he learning of her discoveries, not only to tell the truth about the other things she doesn't know, but to take responsibility for all his actions. He has to decide what to do as telephone calls about those still hidden secrets start to pile up, he unaware of the dangers regarding his illegal activities. And Evie and Pete's marriage is disintegrating in they not even speaking to each other. As Evie takes refuge with her parents, she becomes increasingly delusional both about Danny and about her father's reaction to her pregnancy. With Danny's pistol in hand, Pete becomes increasingly dangerous to everyone around him as he blames Danny for all his and Evie's problems. Everything comes to a head as Becka, Danny, Evie and Pete strive to achieve his or her own goals with regard to their interpersonal relationships, often incompatible with at least one of the other three.
