Gabriel takes matters into his own hands and beats information out of the man. Although they manage to locate the victim, Brenda is now faced with the possibility of having any evidence thrown out of court because of Gabriel's actions, and it is left to her to either find other evidence or obtain a confession that will lead to a conviction.

Mon, Jul 16, 200760 mins
On what Brenda hoped would be a quiet Sunday, she and Fritz go house hunting, but Brenda heads into work when a man enters the station claiming to have murdered half a dozen people. He gives the police the name of his latest victim but refuses to identify himself. A preliminary examination indicates that seven people (residents of a retirement home) are in fact all dead but with death certificates listing natural causes. The man claiming to be the murderer finally identifies himself as Donald Baxter, a retired journalist who is convinced the nursing home is killing off his friends. As for the house hunting, Fritz and Brenda make an offer but the owner has a hidden reason for putting it on the market in the first place.
Episode 6
Mon, Jul 23, 200760 mins
Brenda finds herself trying to solve the murder of a personal trainer found dead in a parking lot. Since the man had been having an affair with one of his clients, police naturally look to the woman's husband as the likely perpetrator; however, things aren't going well. Brenda is feverish but avoids going to a doctor, most of the squad has to undergo weapons of mass destruction training (leaving only Lt. Provenza free to help out), and the only eye witness to the murder has obsessive-compulsive disorder. A simple mix-up with dates seems to resolve to the crime.

The gang suspects their rivals, and police do everything they can to stop a racial gang war before it explodes. Within this emotionally charged environment, a father desperately tries to keep his teenage son - a promising young baseball player with the chance of a college athletic scholarship - from losing control and joining the Latino gang in order to avenge the duo deaths of his cousin and friend.
Episode 8
Mon, Aug 6, 200760 mins
Brenda and her team deal with the grisly case of a serial killer who seems to have re-appeared after an absence of many years. The cases all have the same type of victim and the same results. Attractive young women - all divorced and recently re-married - are kidnapped and tortured with a cattle prod, among other things, and then dumped nude on the beach along the Pacific Coast Highway. There would always be three victims, found several days apart, with a Roman numeral branded on the heel of their foot. Three victims were found in 1998 and again in 1999 but nothing since. As the police look into the backgrounds of one of the victims, they find exactly where they were tortured and the reason why no one could hear their screams. In her personal life, Brenda is devastated by the results of her medical tests and the doctor's diagnosis.

While Brenda works, fiancé Fritz gets stuck playing tour guide for her parents. Brenda has another doctor's appointment, at which she gets some good news but also learns that she'll have to give up a certain dietary crutch.

The woman was well-known to the LAPD and was frequently in Los Angeles auditing the installation of police telecommunications equipment funded by Homeland Security. The biggest shock however is that she was also having an affair with someone - who turns out to be Chief Pope.

Wesley tries to escape through the RV's bathroom window, damaging the toilet, so they face a long ride with no facilities.
