Champion boxer Kirk Carter is found drowned on the eve of his next fight. Eastern Insurance asks John Hunter has to investigate. Carter's fiancee Verna Matthews is suspicious about the recent behaviour of promoter Sam Harvey.

Gene Walker asks Rudy Lamb to stage a hold up in his own home so he can steal his wife's diamonds. Lamb follows his instructions but sees Walker shoot his wife before killing him. Eastern Insurance asks John Hunter to investigate.

Eastern European doctor, Austice Serafin dies giving aid in an epidemic in Kolitz. He has a large insurance policy with Eastern Insurance with brother flying into collect it however Serafin's widow claims he is still alive.

Walter Allan gets a call from the husband of his cousin that he has been robbed. He and John Hunter to go and help and find the man strangled. The police have been given the name Ralph Nixon but he has vanished.

Joy Allington is nearly killed on a skiing holiday in Switzerland. She sends a letter to Walter Allen telling him that her husband was trying to kill her. As the couple have accident insurance he sends Hunter to investigate.

Champion steeplechase horse 'The Mighty Warrior' falls and dies during a race costing Eastern Insurance £20,000. Hunter is sent to investigate Jefford and O'Shea stables and discovers that trainer Betty Fuller vanished after the race.

SS Tilman sinks with all hands. Owner Gormley sells it's sister ship, the SS Sircon for scrap. After collecting the insurance he buys a new freighter. When crewman Varga, who was on the Tilman, is found murdered questions are asked.

Eastern Insurance get a call that Wilcox Jewelry Store has been robbed. Wilcox are clients so Hunter is sent to investigate. It's John Killian first day, in the store, and he recognises a gang member but decides to use it to get a cut.

World famous pianist Leon Bender hands are insured for £50,000. Walter Allen is suspicious that three days before a car accident the insurance was doubled. John Hunter doesn't believe the evidence of Bender's car accident can be true.

Bosses at Eastern Insurance have put Walter Allen under pressure after they have paid on six safe robberies. The last three break in's have been at Filo's. Hugh Filo has recommended the Marsh safe, used by the six companies.

Engineer Leon Little is the only person to die in a train wreck that leaves Eastern Insurance paying a Double Indemnity for an accidental death. Rail investigator Potter believes it was murder not accident so John Hunter is called in.

Peggy Mliler gets £10,000 following her husband Charlie's heart attack and vanishes. Eastern Insurance gave Miller a medical, a year before, which he passed as A1. After he died the body showed signs of a major heart condition.

Tom Jordan and wife Alice scheme to fake his death in a car crash. Alice identify's the body has Tom, leaving Eastern Insurance to pay £50,000 after one installment. John Hunter needs to prove Alice is lying and Tom is still alive.

Eastern Insurance get involved in an Hollywood publicity stunt when they agree to insure dancer Anita Faraday legs for £50,000 each, for a week. When she breaks her ankle they have to pay £100,000 but John Hunter wants to investigate.

Bill Harrison has just been acquitted of murder. He was escorting diamonds, to London but came down with malaria and is unsure where they are now. Crooks Bailing and Gerber are on his tail but Eastern Insurance make a better deal.
