When ordinary teenage girl Kyra is caught in a magical tug of war between Imogen, a mischievous elf, and Lily, a conscientious fairy, she discovers an extraordinary world of magic that exists in secret all around and her life changes forever.

Magic in the Air

Until it's determined how Kyra acquired both fairy and elf capabilities, she's invited to be part of Professor Maxwell's class and instructed to keep knowledge of the magical world secret from other humans. The sudden appearance of a flying chair tests the students' ability to work together.
Episode 3
All the World's a Stage

Acquiring the elf power of speed, Kyra is taught the fairy spell of invisibility to cover it. When Peter sees too much, Lily performs a mind wipe, whereby Peter unexpectedly adopts the personality of Romeo from a Shakespeare program cover. Lily becomes his Juliet to detain him while the rest search the magic library for a remedy.

Gone to the Dogs

Assignments: Lily and Imogen to protect an enchanted letterbox that for four minutes every month turns those who touch it into dogs, Darra and Ruksy to clear out the Lost Property Suitcase, where collected lost objects can be returned to their owners. As Darra produces a magical horn, Imogen must find a postman turned into a dog before sunset or else his transformation becomes permanent.

A Knight to Remember

While Ruksy gives a tour of the Magical Museum to a group of magical children, a suit of armour escapes. Kyra wants to help put the armour back before it exposes the magical world, but Imogen, who has been struggling to teach her how to 'jump,' can't see that she'll be any use. After Kyra presents a solution that no one else has considered, Peter shares his observations of strangeness with Mathilda.
Episode 6
The Test

Professor Maxwell presents his class with two tests. The first, identification and deduction over an enchanted ragtime piano. The second, the capture and containment of a magical problem, namely the animated glove of the world's most accomplished martial-arts-trained spy. Both tests require teamwork, but Agent Orla wants a field test to ostensibly show superior abilities between newbie Kyra and brown-nosing Imogen. Over Professor Maxwell's objection, she loosens a Shadow Cloud. Meanwhile, Peter tries to find witnesses to back his weird incident observations.

Fairy for a Day

As a Tri-ling, Kyra doesn't know where she fits in, so Lily gives her wings for a day to explore her fairy side, which pop in and out at random. Professor Maxwell assigns Darra the task of animating an elephant from a book, which Darra dreads. While Kyra gets stranded in a girl's bedroom, Imogen helps Darra practice.

Shortcut

Both Kyra and Darra fail their latest tests. Since the DMI may replace Professor Maxwell if Kyra and Darra fail again, Lily and Imogen decide to influence Kyra's basketball game to ease her pressure. Elsewhere, Mathilda misses hanging out with Kyra and asks if there's a boy involved (and later espies Kyra talking with her three new friends). Meanwhile, Ruksy and Peter catch each other's eye.
Episode 9
On the Beach

Peter's Uncle Terry is selling a house that Peter thinks is haunted due to a kid who disappeared there for a couple of hours. As Edward Boynton, a.k.a. The Architect of the Magical Library, was its owner, Kyra and Darra investigate. The two soon pass through a portal that puts them on the tropical beach of an uninhabited island. The portal vanishes, leaving them to seek another way home. Meanwhile, Lily and Imogen have a tug of war over the use of the library's enchanted ladder. Peter and Ruksy run across each other for the second time.

Unchartered Waters

Professor Maxwell assigns tasks to the class while he reports to Sean at DMI about Kyra's emergent ability at Edward Boynton's beach house. Sean deduces that she must have been exposed to the lost Lemurian Orb. As Lily and Ruksy handle an enchanted drinking fountain, Imogen, Darra and Kyra seek an enchanted strangler fig. Peter, in reviewing collected footage, discovers recorded evidence of Darra vanishing - right as Darra turns up at a juice bar before him. He plants a tracking device on Darra and shadows him, which leads to startling discoveries.

A Fairy Tale

Peter confronts Kyra with his evidence of magical doings. He'll keep his silence in exchange for seeing what's behind the wall at the bookstore. Despite Kyra's warning, Peter touches an enchanted book and winds up inside it, where he's caged by two dirty, witch-fearing woodsmen. To distract others while Ruksy searches for him, Kyra unleashes a self-jumping pogo stick.

Aisle 13

A static charge from a magical book makes Kyra capable of advanced magic but not in control of it, turning Professor Maxwell into a guinea pig for one thing. To protect Kyra against banishment from the DMI, Darra and Ruksy seek to restore the professor while Lily and Imogen join Kyra to protect her on her sleepover with Mathilde.

Forces Of Attraction

As Professor Maxwell searches Edward Boynton's abandoned beach house for information (or clues), Imogen, Lily and Ruksy secretly search the library's restricted section for information on The Orb of Lemuria, which seems to have connection to Kyra's resent powers. Kyra and Darra find connection after Darra inserts himself more into Kyra's private life. Lily and Imogen fall under the influence of a mood-altering orchid.

The Eye of Horus

While Orla gives Imogen and Darra a tour of the DMI, Ruksy and Kyra (accompanied by Lily) confront Professor Maxwell about his secretiveness over the Orb of Lemuria. As Maxwell reluctantly shares a tragic story of lost love, a disturbed Egyptian artifact at the city's loading docks starts to open a doorway to the underworld. As Orla investigates, Kyra senses that Darra is in trouble and uses her exceptional abilities to save him. Professor Maxwell determines that Kyra has an affinity with the Orb.
Episode 15
Judgement Day

Kyra, now a Tri-ling with revealed Orb magic, becomes a person of great interest in the magical world. Sean summons her for a private meeting, but remains leery of a human having Orb powers, wanting them removed. Kyra bakes a cake as a peace offering, which gets her invited to a weekend lunch. Meanwhile, with Ruksy in charge of the bookstore, purple goo escapes its containment, which Ruksy and Peter struggle to recapture.
Episode 16
The Prize

Kyra's step-dad Steve wants to resume their camping outings, but it befalls the same day as an important magical award ceremony. Fear of Kyra's Orb magic capabilities mar the event for Kyra, who's risked disappointing her step-dad to attend.
Episode 17
The Accused

Kyra is shocked to learn her Orb magic and all her memories of the magical world will be removed. Desperate to remember, Kyra gets Peter to make a film that will remind her of all that has happened. Before Kyra's magic can be removed, however, the Orb is stolen from the library and Imogen appears to be the culprit.

On the Case

Imogen hides out in Kyra's room while she, Kyra, Peter and Ruksy try to discover who stole the Orb; when Kyra senses the Orb is in use, she jumps to the library and finds Orla manipulating Darra and Lily to steal the Orb magic.
Episode 19
End of the Road, Part 1

The altercation with Orla leaves Kyra without her magic or her memories of the magical world. Orla, now the most powerful magical being, gives Sean two hours to retire as Director of the DMI. As Sean resists, Orla threatens destruction. Meanwhile, bits and pieces of memory return to Kyra, leaving her perplexed. She finally turns to Peter (who had been trying to connect with her earlier) for answers.
Episode 20
End of the Road, Part 2

Kyra finally watches the video of herself. As Peter and the video help Kyra's memory to return, the classmates endeavor to steal back the Orb. With everyone else either magically sealed in the DMI or in the Magical Library, Orla announces her ultimate objective. It's down to the remaining classmates and Peter to launch a resistance, whether it be successful or not.
