4 Episodes 2005 - 2005
Episode 1
69 mins
Defense attorney Henry Farmer knows all about train wrecks: his love life has derailed, and his financial situation has crashed, leaving him temporarily homeless. Now he must deal with his own father as a witness in the trial of a train driver.
Episode 2
70 mins
Henry's newest client, a sufferer Asperger's syndrome accused of murdering his mother, may be the only habitually honest person involved in the case. Revelations of adultery and a suspicious bruise complicate matters almost as much as Henry's own life.
Episode 3
68 mins
A dedicated nurse who is devoted to her patients administers what turns out to be a lethal dose of morphine to an elderly patient. Even though a doctor signed off on the dosage, an embittered co-worker and the deceased's family accuse her of deliberate murder for gain as the frail patient included her in his will two days before his death. Although it is Henry's case, Cleo appoints herself lead counsel with a personal reason for preventing him from pursuing legal action against a prominent tabloid which seems to be prejudicing the case. As a sidebar, Maureen becomes a contestant on a quiz program and wins 500,000 pounds but finds herself accused of cheating and under a police investigation.
Episode 4
70 mins
With almost no evidence in hand, Henry's case against an accused rapist falls to pieces, and the civil action he takes up on behalf of the victim tears his life apart. Couch surfing and fiscally reeling, he is unprepared to see his father is seriously ill.
