Right before the big game, Brak and Zorak decide to kidnap their high school mascot, a chicken named Mr. Bawkbagawk. Brak takes the mascot to his house to hide it and presents it to his parents as his father's uncle: Earl Toteman.

Brak promises to take care of Mr. Thundercleese's goldfish, Mr. Tickles, while he is away. Goldfish eat ham don't they?

Brak's parents notice an ad in the newspaper telling them that Fish Buckets, a restaurant that serves seafood, is having a special event, a "Salute to Crabs" and Brak's parents decide to make a night of it by going out and eating seafood, but Brak and Zorak can't come with them because they didn't do their homework. In a quandary, Brak wonders what must be done and so Zorak sets forth the idea that they can go back in time and convince their past selves to do the homework so as not to be faced with the stuff later. This doesn't work, as the past selves only go back in time and play video games with Zorak and Brak, on and on down the line, as the duo decides to keep going back in time to make their past selves do the homework, more and more past selves keep coming back. Faced with this mistake, Zorak and Brak decide to go back in time to stop homework from ever being invented. They make it, and meet up with two wizards from that era who invent homework. Zorak convinces them not to invent it, and the duo goes back to their own time era only to realize that some of the things that they do and act out are gone.

One day as Brak is telling Zorak (who plainly does not care) that he will be in a talent show, a mishap involving an assassin robot occurs and Zorak is caught in the fray, soon leading to him forceful expelling a talking pink blob named Carmine from his throat, which proves to be the explanation for Zorak's raspy voice, and without it, Zorak has a perfectly refined singing voice, which he uses to beat Brak in the talent show. This leads to Carmine booking Zorak and his lovely new voice on a tour singing all over the world. Brak is jealous until Zorak comes back home, annoyed at making people happy with his new singing voice and earning Brak's favor again, but now the dilemma of getting Zorak's raspy voice back persists as the two head to Carmine's lavish new mansion (which he gained by stealing Zorak's cut of the profits) and work out a way to trick Carmine into getting back into Zorak's throat.
