Sequence of Events: Part 1

Manson visits Vince Parker in prison to take his confession of murder back in 1984. He claims he wasn't charged at the time due to a bent DC called Jack Meadows who lost the evidence for a backhander. Jack is also visiting the prison to see his son Ben. Reg and June attends a break in at Laura Meadows house when Reg is hit in the face by the intruder escaping. DCI Frank Keane wants to investigate the claims against Jack. Jack makes an urgent call to meet up with his old boss Dougie Price. Manson is worried when it looks like Jack is guilty. Sam and Mickey interview Ben Meadows over a connection to recent robbery bashings.

Episode 2

Sequence of Events: Part 2

Mickey and Sam visit Ben in prison after he's been severely bashed. Meadows is furious with Dougie when he admits to taking the bribe back in 1984. DCI Keane is determined to make a case against Meadows and Price. Vince's son Andy is behind the burglaries and bashings. Jack arranges a meet with Neil to tell him the truth.

Wrong Place, Wrong Time

Two new faces join Sun Hill. Emma Keane & Lewis Hardy. Valentine & Kapoor are assigned to help them. Hardy gets off to a bad start.

A Problem Multiplied

Roger and new PC Lewis deal with a woman called Leanne who has been threatened by a man with a dirty needle. Leanne confirms there is a smack problem on the Coal Lane Estate that needs sorting out. Saul needs Ramani and Terry's help when one of the youths is threatened with a gun at the basketball courts in Canley Fields. Terry is very uptight around Saul. Will is trying to find a room to rent not knowing Dan has one available. Okaro starts looking into the drug problem when Leanne dumps a box full of needles at the front desk. Ramani and Saul are assaulted and told to back off. Emma and Leela deal with Leanne again when she is accused of stabbing a neighbor with a needle. Lewis is required to go undercover to catch the drug dealers when Okaro mounts an operation. Emma helps Will secure Dan's room to rent.

Episode 5

Street Level Action

Phil and Terry deal with an assault on shopkeeper Mr Conway who's dog has been shot. Louise Larson is nervous about giving evidence against her violent husband. June deals with a rape victim called Dee which she had helped previously and is now feeling reluctant that the trial is starting. Susie and June get worried when Dee doesn't turn up at court. Ramani helps Phil and Terry finds the robbers and the sun machine gun. Honey and Will find Dee's flat trashed and Dee tells them her husband did it. Ramani assists in a raid managing to subdue the robber. Phil tells Cindy they can try IVF again. Smithy tells Louise they will disappear after the trial.

Episode 6

A Satisfying Day's Work

Smithy comforts Louise before the trial. Laura and Smithy accompany a passive drug sniffing dog. When the dog alerts to a bystander they claim the drugs belong to his flat mate. As June supports Dee at court it brings up traumatic memories of her rape experiences. When Laura and Steve search the residence of Andy and Tom they initially don't find any the further drugs. Laura then uses the sniffer dog Bongo and find a garage full of cannabis plants. Cindy turns up at the station with a girl she found in the park. Jo helps Phil to try and find the mother. June struggled on the stand to give evidence. Cindy tells Phil she wants to adopt. Tony and Yvonne find Louise dead from a hit and run from Smithy's car.

Episode 7

Framed

Sargent Smith is found by Tony and Yvonne in his crashed car with an empty vodka bottle. He claims he was drugged but blows over the limit and has to be arrested. Smithy's world comes crashing down when told Louise is dead. The relief are shocked when seeing Smithy in such a disheveled state. Yvonne steps up as Acting Sargent while the investigation is underway. DCI Keane is assigned to run the investigation. Smithy tells Zain he thinks he has been set up by Pete Larson. Smithy starts getting flashbacks. A new witness identifies Smithy as the driver.

Episode 8

Spirits

Smithy is charged with Louise Larson's murder. He is refused bail and is put on remand in prison. Zain arrests an associate of Pete Larson's for drug possession, who is later discovered to be a hit man - after he is released. Meanwhile, Ramini investigates a suspected case of child abuse by a faith healer, who claims the child was possessed by The Devil.

Episode 9

Breaking Point

Ramani and Terry search for a child who was sent to London from Uganda by her parents, but has now gone missing. Her family hoped that she would have a better life in the UK, but it soon becomes apparent that she has been trafficked into the country to live a life of servitude. Phil and Jo investigate the robbery of an old lady where the thief has left his wallet at the scene, but the case is not as straightforward as it seems.

The Lone Ranger

A woman comes into Sun Hill and claims she was sexually abused by her father twenty years ago. Ramani and Terry investigate the possibility that the idea may have been planted by her therapist. Zain continues to try to prove Smithy's innocence of Louise Larson's murder. He applies pressure to Carl Caplan, the man who claims he saw Smithy run Louise over, but just when he is nearing a breakthrough he is interrupted by DCI Frank Keane and taken off the case. Ramani accepts a job offer with the child abuse investigation team.

Condition: Critical: Part 1

A man is shot at a party that PC Lewis Hardy is attending. The victim is a member of a local gang, so Operation Trident are called in to investigate. Lewis finds his cousin in possession of a gun and is worried he may be involved. A woman goes missing after her husband discovers that she is having an affair. Jo's old snout Seth Mercer appears and asks for her help when he gets into trouble with a loan shark.

Condition: Critical: Part 2

Sun Hill and Trident work together to investigate the gang-related shootings in the area. Mickey Webb and DS Shand discover that Mitchell Simmonds plans to violently avenge the death of his girlfriend Shakira. An assault investigation leads Honey, Leela and Emma to the body of a missing woman. Jo Masters looks into an associate of Seth Mercer's and discovers that he is involved in the illegal arms trade.

Episode 13

Missing: Part 1

A seven year old girl, Amy Tennant, is reported missing. Sun Hill CID believe that she has been abducted, and a full scale search operation is initiated. Ramani and Terry begin questioning all known sex-offenders in the area, and when one man cannot account for his whereabouts during the time that Amy disappeared he becomes the number one suspect. However when Sam Nixon discovers that Amy's father James lied about the time that he finished work, she begins to suspect that the culprit may be closer to home.

Episode 14

Missing: Part 2

Amy Tennant is still missing, and her father James's alibi cannot be verified. A friend of James's deceased wife comes forward claiming that he was an abusive husband, and when her claims are not taken seriously she threatens to go to the press. The incident room receives a call from a girl claiming to be Amy, but is it genuine or a sick prank? Dean bids farewell to Sun Hill, and Phil says his goodbyes to Cindy.

High Risk Decisions

A fight at a snooker hall marks the beginning of violence between the E1s and Jordan Tomlin's new gang. Amy Tennant has been missing for two days and suspicion falls on her gym teacher when it is discovered that he is a registered sex offender. Ramani works her final shift at Sun Hill and she is bid a fond farewell at a surprise party organised by Terry.

Episode 16

Down Goes Another One

Ramani starts her new job with the Child Abuse Investigation Team and asks Terry to assist on a case. A young mother is accused of neglect after her son was found home alone while she was out partying, but she claims that her drink was spiked. Zain receives information from Jordan Tomlin that Asher Campbell is planning to buy eight Mach-10s, but when the deal goes down and Asher is arrested only two guns are found. A reconstruction of missing girl Amy Tennant's last known movements is carried out. Suzie brings James Tennant along so that she can gauge his reaction as his alibi has still not yet been confirmed.

Experience and Education

Emma Keane goes undercover to catch a thief who targets elderly women by posing as a store security guard. She loses her cool when interviewing the suspect and puts her job at risk. Lewis accuses Roger of racism when investigating a suspected case of domestic abuse. The investigation is put in jeopardy when the suspect overhears him and uses the situation to his advantage. Gina Gold returns from Australia and visits Smithy in prison. She reassures him that everyone at Sun Hill knows he is innocent and urges him to send out more visiting orders to his friends at the station.

A Rock and a Hard Place

Zain meets with Jordan Tomlin again who tells him he knows how to find one of the missing Mach-10s. Shots are fired at a local community centre during a DJ competition. A victim and a witness are trapped inside, but Superintendent Okaro stops anyone from entering until armed backup arrives as the gunman could still be in the building. Lewis is worried his cousin Dominic could be involved as he was meant to be providing security to the event, but apparently left minutes before the shooting occurred. Dominic tells Lewis that a cop from Sun Hill was cutting deals with Jordan.

Episode 19

Connections: Part 1

Smithy is the victim of bullying in Longmarsh prison by another prisoner, Chris Hammond. Hammond wants Smithy to smuggle in a mobile phone, but when he refuses he is beaten up. When Hammond is found stabbed, CID are called in to investigate. Dan and Gina are called to a flat where the owner has returned from working abroad for three months to find someone living there. The woman claims to be having an affair with property manager Damon Pollard, and that he told her it was OK to stay there. While investigating Pollard, Jack, Mickey and Zain discover that one of the property owners has connections to Pete Larson and Carl Caplan, the man who claims he saw Smithy run Louise Larson over. Is this the breakthrough needed to get Smithy out of prison?

Episode 20

Connections: Part 2

Jack Meadows puts surveillance on Joel Gates and seeks permission from DCI Frank Keane to watch Carl Caplan in the hope that they will incriminate themselves. His request is approved - but for twenty-four hours only. Smithy's application to attend Louise Larson's funeral is denied. He risks an assault charge when he beats Marty Jonson up for setting fire to a picture of Louise.

Episode 21

A Bad Call: Part 1

Uniform are on crowd-control duty at a nightclub gig and are warned that tensions will be high following Jordan Tomlin's death. When a fight breaks out outside the venue, Yvonne orders the rest of the crowd inside to prevent them from joining in. Severe overcrowding causes a balcony to collapse onto the dance floor below, bringing lighting rigs down with it. The fire exit is blocked by a car and several people are crushed to death in the stampede to get out. Phil Hunter has not reached his crime detection target figure and makes a bet with Sam Nixon when she challenges him that he will not record three cases by morning. It looks like his luck is in when an assault victim is accused of being a thief by his alleged attacker.

Episode 22

A Bad Call: Part 2

Sun Hill faces criticism over the handling of the nightclub disaster. DCI Keane from the DPS is called in to investigate and Adam Okaro asks Mia Perry to handle the press. Emma and Leela discover a case of identity theft when reporting a death to a relative. The man who answers the door had his passport stolen the previous month, and Sam and Mickey find out that the dead man was using his ID to smuggle drugs into the country.

Episode 23

High Flyers

A man is found beaten unconscious in his car, and Terry and Suzie discover that he had been assaulted after visiting a prostitute. DC Stuart Turner comes to Sun Hill to assist with the investigation, as he is familiar with one of the suspects from his patch in the West End. Jack is impressed by his performance and offers him the vacant detective sergeant position ahead of Suzie, who is still studying for her sergeant's exams. Dan and Will both apply for the advanced driving course, with only one place available. After a mistake by Dan nets Will three points on his driving permit he decides to get even by playing a prank, causing Dan to get three points too. However Dan already had three points on his permit and is disqualified from applying. Dan tells Will he wants him out of the flat. Leela decides to stand in the election for federation rep when the position becomes available.

Episode 24

Special Relationships

A prostitute is badly beaten while Suzie and Stuart have her home under surveillance. Terry and Stuart interview her flatmate Kelly as they suspect it was a retaliation attack by well known criminal Craig Fenton. The women had stolen drugs from Fenton, their pimp, to sell in order to make enough money to get out of the sex industry. Terry enlists the help of another prostitute, Leigh Bevan, to convince Kelly to testify against Fenton. Leela is appointed as the new fed rep for Sun Hill, but her joy at winning is short lived when she discovers the only other candidate stepped down, and she was elected unopposed. Terry visits his daughter on her birthday. It's the first time he's seen her in two years after walking out on his family, and she tells him that she'll have to think about whether or not she wants to meet him again. After getting a successful result in the Fenton case, Stuart accepts the sergeants job.

Episode 25

Where We Belong: Part 1

It's Smithy's first day back at work following his release from prison and he is shocked to be investigating former cell mate Morris Leatherhead on suspicion of theft. Smithy is convinced of Morris's innocence and goes to great lengths to clear his name. Brothers Phil and Steve are paired together on an assault investigation. Annoyed by Steve, Phil ruins a surveillance operation by another department when he ignores Steve's phone call to warn him about it. Neil has to tell James Tennant that the investigation into the disappearance of his daughter Amy is being scaled down, but while he is doing this Suzie tells him that his own son Jake failed to turn up for school. Suzie finds out from Stuart that he is the new DS, crushing her hopes of promotion. Laura nearly ruins an obbo when she leaves a report half-finished to run a personal errand. Smithy reprimands her and she admits that she is struggling to cope following the introduction of the twelve hour shifts.

Episode 26

Where We Belong: Part 2

Zain and Terry are pleased when DS Stuart Turner gives them a free hand to investigate the beating of a suspected paedophile. However when they get a good result he wastes no time in claiming his share of the credit. Morris Leatherhead is distraught when he hears that his daughter has moved abroad, and trashes the kebab shop where Smithy has got him a job. He begs Smithy to arrest him and send him back to prison, claiming that he doesn't know how to cope in the outside world. While interviewing Michael Hassan, Phil continually clashes with his solicitor Heather Lees, and the interview has to be cut short. Steve applies for a transfer back to Derbyshire when he realises that he will never get along with brother Phil. While stopped at traffic lights on the way home from work, his car window is smashed and he is doused in petrol and threatened to be set alight by a man on the back of a motorbike, while the driver films the attack on his mobile phone.

Brother Love

Tony investigates an old friend for a hit-and-run offence. Phil investigates Steve's attack. Sam and Stuart look into a self-help guru who is suspected of conning widows.

A Day to Remember

An elderly man reports an arson attack on his home. Sam and Phil deal with a suspected rape case. Yvonne and Honey go speed dating. Steve Hunter transfers out of Sun Hill.

A Glimmer of Hope

A man contacts a local newspaper claiming to have Amy Tennant. Mickey Webb poses as a journalist to try to convince the man to meet up with him. Dan discovers Tony's second job as a cab driver when Tony reports that he overheard two of his passengers threatening to settle an old score. June and Reg deal with three youths who have been harassing pensioner Brian Warner. When Brian has a heart attack and dies, June resorts to an alternative interview method to try and get them to see the error of their ways. Mia Perry confronts Mickey after Jack tells her about Mickey's previous engagement. He explains that his ex-fiancé was a bent copper and asks if they can keep their relationship quiet at work. Neil comforts James Tennant when he breaks down after another dead-end in the investigation into Amy's disappearance.

Episode 30

To Be a Hero

Roger returns to work after his life-threatening injuries in the nightclub disaster but has trouble coping. Lewis rescues an arson victim from his burning home while Roger freezes in fear. They suspect that the culprit is the brother of a boy in the care of the victim, a social worker. They trace the person who reported the fire, but she is a woman with a secret and does not want to get involved. Neil finds out the results of Suzie's sergeants exams a day early and congratulates her on passing. Suzie says that she will start looking for a position elsewhere as there is no longer a DS vacancy at Sun Hill. Adam decides to apply for the borough commander job but faces tough competition when the acting commander tells him that he will also be applying for the permanent position. Roger witnesses a man being assaulted but retreats from the scene and radios the incident in when he has a crippling flashback to the nightclub disaster.

Episode 31

Echoes: Part 1

Two young girls go missing while walking home from school, and comparisons are immediately drawn with the Amy Tennant case. Mickey is shocked when he realises that the parents of the girls are old friends of his. The girls are later found in an old warehouse where Molly, the younger girl, has been seriously assaulted. As Molly is treated in intensive care, Terry and Mickey interview a man with learning difficulties who older sister Charlotte claims is responsible. A local journalist discovers this and Mickey accuses Mia of leaking information. Mia is hurt by the accusation and explains how the journalist probably found out.

Episode 32

Echoes: Part 2

Suzie questions Charlotte Parker about her involvement in the attack that has left her sister Molly fighting for her life in intensive care. She continues to claim that Andrew Landor is the culprit but is forced to tell the truth when confronted with the evidence. When Andrew's description is printed in a local tabloid, Smithy, Will and Lewis call to check on him. They discover him being assaulted, but the attacker manages to escape. Will suspects it was a colleague of Andrew's from the clothing he was wearing, but Andrew refuses to co-operate. Terry wants to see his kids again and meets with his ex-wife to discuss it. James Tennant's hopes that his daughter is still alive fade when Neil tells him that the Parker case has no connection to Amy's disappearance.

The Green Eyed Monster

The officers investigate a hammer attack that Roger fled the scene of, and search for a cab driver that Roger falsely claimed witnessed the attack. When the man regains consciousness he claims that an officer ran away when he was being attacked, and suspicion falls on Reg as he was first on the scene. Dan and Will arrest a man for drunk and disorderly behaviour who is later discovered to be an ex-boxing champion.

Episode 34

Neglect of Duty

A man is arrested for criminal damage by probationary PCs Lewis Hardy and Emma Keane. Leela allows them to conduct the interview unsupervised, but Gina Gold has to take over when the man confesses to murder. Will receives information from a boxing gym manager about illegal bare knuckle fighting which is connected to an assault case that Zain and Suzie are investigating. The relief discover Roger's neglect of duty and Superintendent Okaro tells Gina that it must be investigated by the DPS. Gina orders Roger to see a psychologist to determine if he is fit for duty.

Episode 35

Pursuit

Dan tries to get out of the boxing tournament that Gina has set up. Emma and Will get a good result with a capture car initiative. Phil is jealous of the close flirty working relationship between Sam and Stuart. Sam gets in the way of two brothers and their stolen car racket. Emma gets tipsy and kisses Will.

Up Against the Wall

Zain tries to help his old informant Chez Williams when he is caught up in a doggy perfume scam. Phil gets stung by the fake perfume must to the team's enjoyment. Sam let's her guard down with Stuart and they kiss. Emma tells Will their kiss was a mistake Sam and Stuart investigate a dead body found in a councilman's house and dig deeper to discover a seedy situation.

Episode 37

Too Little, Too Late: Part 1

Susie and Mickey investigate escalating violence against a bar owner. Mickey is also stretched trying to help his friend Fern who has just taken back her abusive husband. Laura makes a rash decision with her job when having to see her son Liam get arrested. June goes on a date with Rod Jessop but fines him boring. A tragic situation means Mickey Webb needs to arrest Fern for stabbing her husband.

Too Little, Too Late: Part 2

Fern is interviewed by Jack and MIT but her story starts to change. Mickey is accused of coaching Fern what to say and despite his denials he could lose his job. Laura has a positive day at work and makes a decision about being a PC. June receives an apology and flowers from Rod Jessop. Mickey after seeing his friend Fern charged with murder sabotages his relationship with Mia.

Superintendent Okaro prepares to leave. Roger and Leela chase a van but after careless driving Roger is put on desk duty and its also found out that he hasn't been going to his therapy sessions. He links the van to a past burglary and June is put with Leela but its Rogers suspicion that is ultimately proved right.

Sun Hill raid a crack house, but Inspector Gold doesn't see eye-to-eye with Superintendent Heaton. Elsewhere, PC Noble arrives at Sun Hill and assists Smithy with an assaulted elderly drunk, whilst DS Nixon suffers from a miscarriage.
