Cure the Sin

Sheelagh becomes anxious when she is unable to contact Lance hours before his marriage ceremony. Steve tries to find out if anyone knows where Lance went when he left his stag do, but anxiety turns to fear when the CCTV which he pulls from the pub shows Lance being kidnapped and bundled into the back of a van. Unaware that his so-called 'friends' are behind the vicious attack, determined to 'cure' him of his homosexuality, Roger is blind to the fact Lance is in the next room when he is plugging his friend for information. Meanwhile, Terry discovers his brother Ben's new address, and tries to convince Ben's wife Lucy of his suspicions that Ben has been abusing his nephews.

Double Jeopardy: Part 1

Roger and Steve arrest a drink driver caught at the wheel of his car, only to discover that he is one of Jack's former prisoners who absconded from police custody two years previously. Whilst in custody, the suspect is taken ill with a possible virus and sent to St. Hugh's. Yvonne fails to take the advice of the relief and manages to cause a riot when a minor protest outside the hospital escalates. As Steve is drafted in to help calm the rioters, Roger is unexpectedly overcome by the suspect's son, who arrives armed in an attempt to break his father out of police custody. Honey arrives in the nick of time to prevent an escape, but finds herself being held at gunpoint by the boy's brother.

Double Jeopardy: Part 2

Neil and Jack arrive at Sgt. Hugh's to speak to suspect Roland O'Brien, only to walk right into the middle of a hostage situation - finding themselves being tied up in the boiler room by O'Brien's deranged son. Adam arrives to take charge of the situation, and assigns Jo to be the negotiator in the absence of the hostage negotiation team. Jo attempts to use O'Brien's ex-girlfriend, who is now carrying his baby, in an attempt to secure Roger's safety. Meanwhile, Steve sees red and rescues Honey from the clutches of O'Brien's other son, wrestling him to the floor. When Roger attempts to obtain medical help for Roland, he gets into a tussle with his son, and the gun fires, injuring the boy.

He Who Has No Will

Smithy is assigned to puppy walk two new PSCOs assigned to the station - Colin Fairfax and Gabriel's arch-nemesis, Laura Bryant. The trio investigate when a group of local youths vandalize lifts in a local tower block, and then attack the property of a local resident. However, an illegal search conducted by Laura proves to be an issue in securing a conviction. Meanwhile, Jim is assigned as SIO on the case of Karen Burnett, who has disappeared without trace on her way home from work. Honey is assigned as Family Liaison Officer, and speaks to the victim's husband, Scott, who is concerned for her welfare. Sam is outraged when Abi announces that she is marrying abductor Hugh.

Motivated By Love

Sam and Abi hideaway in Peter Baxter's empty flat in an attempt to stay out of Hugh's clutches. However, back at the station, Jack's lack of support for Sam grows stronger when Hugh claims that Sam has abducted her own daughter. When Phil realizes that Sam's suspicions have been true all along, he confronts Hugh but finds himself the recipient of a formal complaint. Sam desperately tries to make Abi realize she has been brainwashed, but Hugh continues to try and win her over. Meanwhile, Terry and Jim interview one of Karen Burnett's friends, and in a search of waste ground near to his place of work, she is found dead having been the victim of a violent assault.

A Difficult Subject

Jo and Suzie investigate when a young boy is attacked in an area known to be frequented by rent boys. Arresting their prime suspect proves to be the catalyst for a much bigger problem, when suspect Ravi Shah accuses DAC Roy Pearson of being part of a crime ring. However, when Suzie organizes a raid on the home of known pimp Julian Hargreaves, she fails to uncover any proof of his involvement. Meanwhile, Ramani interviews Abi over her accusations against Hugh and a search of a previously undiscovered flat belonging to Hugh reveals vital evidence to prove his involvement, and suspect Greg Campbell is charged with the murder of Karen Burnett.

Amber bumps into drunk friends while on patrol. Honey breaks up with Steve. Gary tries to pick up at a bar with Phil and Suzie. Phil sees a drug deal involving Chris Naylor. Amber's friend Clair is assaulted but she's blames Amber for the attack. Phil and Gary arrest Naylor fir supplying drugs. Neil confesses his love for Andrea.

The Suttle Approach

Yvonne is back on patrol as a PC and pulls over a driver with a bag of cocaine and cash. Gary is late for work after staying over with a girl he meet at the club. The relief ponder who the new Sargent will be and are shocked when a harder June turns up. Jim has to attend Marie's funeral. Phil and Ken search the office of the man carrying drugs. Is Gary about to be conned? Neil wants an answer from Andrea. Phil believes he is dealing with a case of money laundering. Neil helps Andrea on a sexual assault case. Jim hits it off with Marie's friend. Neil is unhappy when Andrea volunteers to go undercover to catch the attacker. June tells Tony she had to come back to pay off Jim's debts. Phil and Ken catch Gary in the spa after Louisa does a runner with the laundered money. Andrea is in danger. June rejects Jim's advances. Jo catches Gary out regarding the scam.

Amber is hungover for her final driving exam while Dan wants to celebrate and Leela is put to the test. Sam is confident of securing a conviction for The Kennedy rape trial but is humiliated on the stand. Smithy has to crack a suspected racially motivated dispute involving one of the PSOs. Tony tries to get June to see sense. Andrea is desperate to make a difference by exposing Gabriel but Neil wants her to resign by the end of the day. Andrea tells Smithy she will have the evidence by tomorrow. Andra begs Neil to give her one more day on the job. Bruce lands Andrea in it with Meadows and Okaro.

Confessions of a Killer

Andrea is happy after spending the night with Neil. Okaro has to talk to the press about the exposure of Andrea. Phil winds up Manson. Smithy drags Andrea in to answer questions. Andrea tries to justify herself in front of Gina and informs her she will still need to give evidence in the Kennedy rape trial. Leela tries to educate Colin on racism. Jim works with Ken to crack credit card fraud. Andrea begs Neil to trust her. Tony suggests to Reg to pop the question to Marilyn. PC Dunbar has a hard time on the stand. Colin shows his true colors and attacks Leela. Okaro wants answers from Manson. Nixon rips into Dunbar after the Kennedy trial collapses. Colin sets off the station's alarm and Ken attempts to bring him in. Andrea finally has the evidence she needs on Gabriel but he catches her. Colin overpowers Ken. Gabriel throws Andrea into an empty room where she tells him how she worked it all out. Ken is trapped and handcuffed in a van full of petrol as Colin drives to make a point. Gabriel admits he shot Kerry. The van crashes into the front of the station.

Inferno

Gabriel stands over a trapped Andrea as part of the station burns. Okaro tries to coordinate the evacuation. Smithy lies trapped under a beam. June , Tony and Leela have do deal with the prisoners. Gabriel pulls Smithy free but leaves Andrea screaming for help. Reg waits for Marilyn at the train station not knowing she was caught in the blast. Ramini helps a panicked Margaret Barnes down the Fire stairs. Gabriel starts to panic. Two of the prisoners escape. The team find out Ken was in the back of the van when it blew up. Reg rushes to the hospital. Jim catches the prisoners but over steps the mark when one of them mocks Ken's death. June struggles in the aftermath. Tony tells Jim off. Neil in breaks-down when Gina confirms Andrea was found dead in the building. Okaro briefs the relief. Gabriel stands emotionless.

Laura and Gabriel deal with some hooligans. Neil's wife finds out about the affair. Leela's father helps with an attack on a shopkeeper. Leela finds her dad bashed when she goes to meet him for dinner.

Salim Haq is the prime suspect in the recent racial unrest but finding him proves difficult. Okaro is not impressed with Honey's recent performance. Jo Masters and Gary try to stop a violent pimp. Gabriel tries to help an angry school girl found with multiple bruises.

Gabriel is concerned when Gemma and her mother go missing. Laura Bryant shows Okaro around the Coal Lane Estate. Gina goes for her cancer tests when Amber spots her at the hospital and starts asking questions. Lance deals with an assault on an old lady. Scott tells Honey he is nervous about the trial. PC Sheelagh Murphy starts to see Gabriel in a new light. Pearl confesses a disturbing element of the assault to Gina. PC Kent attempts to save Gemma.

Operation Mercury: Part 1

Gina warns Amber to keep quiet about her health status but needs to rely on her for a hospital visit. Scott is nervous about the hearing. Steve wants to tell Honey about Scott's threat. Jo and Terry investigate why a suspected drug dealer was pushed off a balcony. Scott bashes Greg when he is let off the murder charge. Yvonne grows concerned for Honey when Greg fills her in on what Scott is really like.

Operation Mercury: Part 2

DC Best is out to impress DI Morrell by tailing a suspect drug supplier as part of operation Mercury. Scott is charged with assault. Yvonne and Honey witness a woman being assaulted. When interviewing the victim, Yvonne takes an opportunity to get more information on Scott's previously alleged violent behavior on his wife. Gary's ego is in overdrive when leading the operation and talks down to the PCs. Scott losses it in front of Honey. Gary's humiliated when the operation fails. Lance finds a way to get through to the kids on the estate by using cricket.

Abuse in Kind

PC Dan Casper is transferred to Sun Hill. While out on patrol with Roger, Dan risks his life to save a suicidal deaf girl from oncoming traffic. Dan finds out Rosa is being mistreated by her employers and pregnant. Honey is confused about Scott's behavior. Ramini steps in to support Rosa as it is now a rape case. June has to put Roger in his place but Tony thinks she was too harsh. Roger looks into a domestic situation. Scott tells Honey to choose between him or her colleagues. Margaret oversteps the line when answering Ramini's work phone. Roger catches the abusive husband driving while drunk. Scott manipulates Honey in bringing forward the wedding. Tragic circumstances occur for Dan's case. Gina confides in a shocked Smithy about her cancer.

Sam is concerned when Alan Kennedy goes missing despite the surveillance. Smithy is worried about Gina and tells her to stop smoking. JT innocently gives out Alan Kennedy's address to a woman who has lose her bag. Sam and Terry are observing Kennedy's house when the woman turns up and intervene when she starts screaming. Yvonne can't get hold of Honey. Kennedy denies any aggressive behavior towards the woman. Tony and Reg arrest two fighting burglars. Kennedy stirs Sam up about the mistake and plans to sue for harassment. Ramini tells Margaret off again about interfering in her life. Gina opens up to Smithy. Ramini's ex Brian turns up stressed saying someone called him claiming Ramini has been killed. Roger goes undercover.

Moving Target

An elderly male is found with head injuries. Okaro checks on Ramini after the prank call. Gary needs a result to improve his reputation. Roger is tasked with helping Ramini but puts his foot in it. There's a new face stirring up trouble on the Coal Lane estate that intrigues Laura and Lance. Sam is frustrated that she can't put away Kennedy. Tony and Reg find Kennedy beaten up in his flat. Lance accidentally ruins the CID operation. Margaret finds Ramini's missing diary. A drug dealer is shot in the estate. Sam has a final chance to stop Kennedy. Margaret steps in to support Ramini when an abusive husband attacks her.

Dangerous Territory

DS Pete Lancaster from Trident arrives to take over the case involving the shooting of drug dealer Andy Marshall. Lance's suspicions that rival Adi Mateen is responsible for the shooting finds him entering a murky world of rival dealing. Laura manages to identify a young girl spotted running away from the scene, and the prime suspect is soon identified as dealer Carlton Gayle. Meanwhile, Sam and Terry are on the trail of Alan Kennedy when he claims to have kidnapped one of his former victims. However, Sam soon realizes that Kennedy has set a trap for her. Ramani deals with a woman who has been savagely beaten by her husband, but is upset when the woman's witness statement disappears.

The Decoy: Part 1

Manson is assaulted when chasing an intruder on his property. Neil then finds a bug in his alarm system. Philippa is concerned and wants to report it to the police. Mickey tells Jack they are monitoring Manson for suspected interference with a money laundering case. Manson is seen with a case witness called Julie. Phil gets shot at tailing kidnappers who throw Julie out of the van in front of Phil's car. Jack is under pressure from the National Crime Squad who suspect Manson is leaking information. Neil tries to get some inside support from Suzie. The NCS raid Neil's home and find evidence to take take him and Philippa into Barton Street for questioning. Neil goes to meet an informant to find out who the leak is but it's a trap. Jack and Phil track Neil down. They find him with a dead body and bloodied hands just as the NCS turn up.

Episode 30

The Decoy: Part 2

Manson is taken in for questioning and pleads his innocence stating a set up. Neil tells Jack that the leak lies with someone in the NCS. Suzie tries to get information out of Mickey but he's not forthcoming. Jack does his own digging and goes to see McGowan. Neil goes over the head of NCS by making a claim of corruption to the Director of Professional Standards. Neil's transport is ambushed by the McGowan's but Jack's team manages to stop it. The team are worried that Mickey could be the leak. Mickey is upset when Jack confronts him then plays some tapes which confirm who the corrupt officer is. Mickey needs to now put his emotions aside to catch them.

This Will Bother You

Ramini is stressed out and on the edge. Smithy pursues a man seen assaulting another man in a cafe but eventually looses him. The assault victim is not very forthcoming about the reason for the assault. Smithy is worried about Honey when he can't get hold of her. Ramini is getting frustrated as everywhere she goes Margaret turns up. Reg and Tony deal with a man throwing books off a building. Smithy is annoyed with Gina for not telling Okaro about her cancer diagnosis. Margaret is hysterical when she losses her job and blames Ramini. Sam and Terry deal with a case of internet fraud. Ramini tries to get Margaret's job back. PC Dan Casper try's to help a depressed man called Justin. Terry and Sam get trapped in a room full of deadly snakes. It's panic stations for Ramini when Justin is confirmed suicidal and goes missing from the hospital. After a telling off from Okaro the last thing Ramini needs is Margaret Barnes confronting her on the stairs but then Margaret falls.

DC Perkins continues to help DS De Costa with her apparent stalker. DS Hunter continues to be attentive to DS Dixon.

PC Lance Powell is held at gunpoint and the real identity of his "nemesis", Adi Mateen, is revealed. Sept Okaro returns to work. PCs Murphy and Kent investigate a harassment incident against a lady-friend of his.

DC Zain Nadir's cover is blown by Lance in front of suspect Jordan who escapes. Steve's in trouble with Phil after he speaks with Kate about Phil's past. Honey is back from her honeymoon and hands in her resignation. Neil questions Adam's state of mind when he authorizes the operation to proceed with Zain to meet with head drug dealer Joshua Armstrong. A child goes missing from a shopping center. Honey admits to Yvonne she's been concerned since she found a locker key belonging to Scott. When Yvonne looks in the locker she finds a bloody glove but doesn't tell Honey. Lance finds out the operation is compromised and tries to warn Manson.

Honey is scared when Scott turns violent. Scott tries to commit suicide but Honey saves him. Yvonne finds herself in a dangerous position.

Attack of Conscience

Yvonne is in shock after hitting Lee Thomas with her asp. Gina says she with be interviewed as Lee is unconscious and had to be taken away in an ambulance. Leela and Dan break up a flight between two women. Scott has been charged with his first wife's murder. Smithy thinks Gina is overdoing it. Amber gets Dan to do some boring jobs for her in order to keep her mouth shut. Leela gets involved with a blackmail attempt. Tony gives his account of the incident. Gina battles her nausea from the cancer treatment. Hunter and Sims find the blackmailing is not confined to one person. Honey tries to account for her actions with Okaro. It doesn't go well when Yvonne tries to explain to Mrs Thomas. Amber's in trouble. Okaro breaks some bad news to Yvonne.

Use of Protocol: Part 1

DC Zain Nadir reports in for a debrief on Operation Mercury with Okaro and Meadows. Yvonne's situation becomes serious when advised Lee Thomas has died. Zain is angry that his cover was blown by Lance and feels frustrated to be asked to continue his work via CID. Honey meets with Gina and asks to be reinstated while Yvonne is suspended pending the inquest.. Zain gets introduced to the team. Tony feels bad for Yvonne and frustrated when a routine arrest has some citizens complaining about police brutality. Honey visits Scott in prison telling her to forget about him. Zain hits the ground running with some early arrests but needs Terry's help to find a secret warehouse. Manson is not sold on DC Nadir's plan to get into the warehouse. A man claims PC Kapoor assaulted him when being arrested and wants compensation. Things are strained between Gina and Adam. Gina has to deliver bad news to Honey so asks Yvonne to check in her. Zain manages to capture a key person Leon Walsh the operation. Zain gets a death threat and Tony is severely beaten.

The relief are shocked at Tony's bashing. Tony tries to provide details of the attack to Roger. Meadows remains Zain to keep the team involved in his operation. The relief are getting frustrated over the lack of support from the top. Zain is determined to get Armstrong the senior drug trafficker. Zain gets another threat. Meadows demands Zain tell him what's going on when he witnesses Armstrong threatening Zain. June reminds the relief to act professionally when dealing with offenders. June visits Tony in hospital as confides that he hesitated in using his asp. Zain lies to Lance to get him to join him in finding Armstrong's lick up. Dan and Rochelle find a moment to be together. Lance gets cornered by Armstrong. June has a tense meeting with Okaro. Armstrong holds Zain and Lance hostage. Dan gets an a threatening letter to expose his affair with a married woman. June Ackland tells Adam Okaro that the relief are on strike unless he can support their concerns.

Phil is frustrated by Steve's continual digs on his situation with Kate. Matters escalate when they have to do an obbo together. Gary is determined crack the burglary case to prove himself to Susie. Sam tells Zain that Pete Larson's business partner Garrison has spit from him and setting up on his own. Gina tries to pled her reasoning with Prosser but is humiliated and has to back down. Sam and Zain follow Garrison. Mr Towner goes missing and has a gun. Superintendent Prosser gives the go ahead for SO 19 when Gina can't be reached but Mr Towner is not at that address. Gina diffuses the situation with Mr Towner when he is found at the previous location. Smithy meets up with Louise again but they are nearly caught out. Zain finds Garrison shot in the head and he believes it is Larson. Prosser doesn't support Gina when the Burroughs Commander rips into her over the gun incident and suspends Gina on the spot.

A fight for the gun ends with 2 people shot. Gabriel gets Jeffrey to let him attend to his injured brother. Gina is nervous when required to be the negotiator despite being suspended and becomes concerned when Mr Clarke talks about time running out. Prosser starts to freeze when the pressure ramps up. Terry tries to get through to Jeffrey when he claims he has done something to the accused driver. It's up to the team to save a life and defuse the situation.

Keep it Out

David Kent goes and visits the real Gabriel in hospital. Okaro takes over from Prosser and briefs the team on the investigation into the siege. Leela and fake Gabriel find a collapsed man on the street after he has taken medication. There could be some dodgy pharmaceutical drugs on the streets so Jake asks Sam to investigate. The press have got wind that Lesley Palmer is out of prison. Lance is worried about partner Mark not coping after the siege when he shot Mr Clarke. The press take advantage to stir matters up by bringing in a distraught mother claiming her son disappeared because of Lesley Palmer. Jo needs to organize a relocation of Lesley as soon as possible but the press turn up before they can leave. After fake Gabriel threatens Laura, Smithy pulls her aside to compare notes on what they know about the mysterious PC Kent. Lesley does a runner when the mob outside her house turns nasty.

June finds it tough when she confirms it is her son and tells Smithy her story. Terry and Phil's investigation turns into a murder case. Lesley is found attacking her ex but it enables a long held confession. A young boy's body is found in the canal.

Gabriel's true colors start to re-emerge. Sheelagh finds evidence that Gabriel has been lying.

Leela and Steve attend to a stolen BMW. June wants to keep an eye on David so takes him out on patrol. Laura and Tony find Sheelagh tied up and gagged. David plans to do away with his brother Gabriel and stages a fire alarm at the hospital then attempts to suffocate him. Sam finds out the true identity of Gabriel Kent. Steve tries to help a pregnant Kate. Smithy asks for Sam's help in arresting David but he's still with June who's now in danger. The race is on to save June.

Hayley the domestic violence victim wants to withdraw her statement when her boyfriend is arrested. Ramani is surprised when Terry tells her he is going to Greece with Lucy. Zain interviews the alleged abusive boyfriend when he hands himself in. Barry tells Ramani and Zain that it is actually Hayley blackmailing him and causing the injuries to herself.

Lance and Laura chase a speeding car when a severely burnt man is throw out on to the road. Tony supports a vicious bashing victim called Barry Sykes. Lance tells Laura, Mark is distant and not coping after the shooting. Mickey and Zain find out there was an explosion at a drugs factory that is connected to the burnt man. Tony arrests a juvenile suspect for the bashing of Mr Sykes. Ramani and Terry try to get to the bottom on why the juvenile was so violent. Mickey believes the drugs are being distributed through the local gay bar. Mark shocks Lance when he confesses to taking crystal meth. Lance volunteers to go undercover. Sykes turns out to be a dealer who is dealing to Karl's mum. Lance's cover is blown but manages to get the bar man to keep quiet. The raid goes as planned. Terry feels trapped at home with Lucy and feels he has no choice but stay.

Lance tries to drown his sorrows but concern grows when he doesn't turn up for work. Cindy and Phil have an honest conversation. Smithy makes a shocking discovery at Lance's home.

Kate tells Phil she is moving to Cardiff. The team are frustrated when both Josh Hill and Michael Keenan are eliminated from being involved with the murders via forensics. A breakthrough arrives when DNA testing provides a new suspect.

DCI Morrell and CID are now dealing with two serial killers in relation to the deaths of several gay men including their colleague Lance. Phil is stressed about Cindy's IVF results. Roger and Sam arrest Michael Keenan who proves obstructive during his interview. A foster carer connection enables the team to arrest John Lord. John protests his innocence when interviewed by Manson but then makes an admission of guilt. Keenan confirms he is not gay and denies any relationship with Lord. DCI Morrell and Manson have an angle to ensure Keenan confesses his involvement.

Superintendent Okaro joins the Laura out on foot patrol. Tony has to follow up on one of Lance's assault cases. Laura takes Okaro around the estate and are soon dealing with a sudden death and finding drugs. CID investigate a footballer about a violent assault. A young lad called Billy is found bashed and covered in blood. When Okaro raids the warehouse for drugs a brawl erupts which challenges the relief. Zain plays dirty to get a result which frustrates Susie. The relief attend Lance's funeral and help carry his body into the church.

Honey and Dan pull over a motorcyclist who turns out to be PC Will Fletcher. Tony looks after a hurt assistant from a robbed jewelry shop. Phil and Jo look into the robbery. Will's first day proves difficult. Tony deals with an old adversary called Jordan and gets bad news from his sister about their father. Honey gets Ramani involved with a suspected missing woman case. Terry visits his brother Ben in jail who tells him he is getting out by Christmas. Ramani and Terry track the missing woman down but have to tell her she's a victim of a con artist. Terry becomes jealous when Ramani gets a date.

Susie has an awkward visit to her parents when her mother claims items are going missing in the house. Jo and Sam try to track down a stolen high performance car. Susie's mum wants their cleaner charged with stealing but as Susie has a conflict of interest pleads with Mickey to help. Gina sets up a fake game show audition called "Cop the Lot" to catch some high profile offenders. Amber mistake almost ruins Gina's day. Amber asks for one more chance and she will do better.

Tony visits his angry dad. Zain gives chase to a gunman after Chez is shot.

With the defendant denying all knowledge of the attack, Perkins is forced to tow a hard line in an attempt to get her to talk. Meanwhile, Harman and Fletcher encounter a homeless young man who is trying to find a shelter to sleep at over the Christmas holidays, but Fletcher suspects there is more to the case than meets the eye - and discovers the man has a wife and child.

Christmas Day. Hunter's peaceful Christmas Day shift is interrupted by an informant who claims he has details of the whereabouts of a large haul of ecstasy. Dragging Masters away from her Christmas dinner, the pair mount an obbo to catch the dealers in the act - but Hunter isn't best pleased when armed robbers arrive and steal the drugs first. Meanwhile, Hollis finds himself investigating the disappearance of the Three Wise Men after they are stolen by youths from a local church. Perkins' nephew Bradley disappears, and CCTV footage reveals him talking to a known pimp of rent boys at a local bus station, leading Perkins to mount his own personal crusade to find his missing relative.

Stamp manages to persuade a taxi driver who was witness to the attack to come forward, but then nearly ruins it by questioning his immigration status. As Masters and Sim investigate a former partner in the law firm, she is identified by the taxi driver as the person he saw attacking the victim. Meanwhile, Smith and Kapoor deal with a frustrated man who breaks into his former home, trying to deliver late Christmas presents to his children after his ex-wife refuses him access to see them.

Roger, Leela, Smithy and Gina attend a disturbance and find an injured woman called Ellie. Ellie confirms she was attacked by an intruder. Gina finds threatening notes and thinks there is a lot more to this attack. Smithy tells Gina he wants to give up the job to be with Louise In witness protection. Roger checks in with the ex boyfriend but he denies any involvement while Susie checks out the property owner. Amber is assaulted by a juvenile. Smithy has to talk the attacker down from a bridge when he claims he is going to jump. Amber quits the force and Smithy commits himself to Louise.
