Vancouver's Eastside is a hotbed of crime, & drug abuse. The Beat Enforcement Team, is charged with maintaining order amidst the chaos. The team's newest recruit is Mariya Zhalovaga. With veteran Shane Aitken showing her the ropes, Mariya will have to learn quickly or risk being left aside. Meanwhile Sgt. Hinton orders Constables Russell & Prévost to investigate a string of robberies.

Two weeks into her training assignment, Zhalovaga, has yet to hit her stride. Meanwhile, Constable Fisher is struggling to balance the demands of work with her personal ambitions, as she attempts at getting pregnant.
