Second to One

Puss enjoys recanting the glorious defeat of the Bloodwolf, and gallantly stresses Dulcinea's crucial part making her 'the greatest-ever superhero' and true protector of San Lorenzo. Facing the obvious question what that makes him, Puss meditates and concludes he must recast himself as her devoted but 'helpless' henchman 'N° two'. It's uneasy for both to have him shadow and assist her constantly, but she starts taking to the lead role. However the gateway to hell vortex nobody minds keeps releasing on San Lorenzo basilisks, a lizard-fowl-cross type of dragon delighting Artephius who feared them extinct, but they require heroic fighting reminding Puss of his warrior nature, while proving the vortex keeps the exit from the underworld open and can't be closed again.

Not a Drill

Puss drills the San Lorenzo folk for the event of an underworld monster attack from the vortex, but everyone tires of the endless false alerts. Dulcinea helps him recruiting the orphan kids to construct a monster costume to stage a more credible fake attack, but they're overheard, so everyone ignores them. However even Puss doesn't realize it's a real monster which escaped while Artephius knocked himself out during an attempt to close the hell gate. So the drill proves ineffective as the creature outsmarts them at every turn, salvation comes surprisingly easy.

Caballo Sin Cabeza

While Puss boasts to the adoring villagers how he'll heroically fight off any monster from the hell gate, a headless horse escapes from the portal. It was banishes and decapitated for dozing off by its sorceress master and roams the earth to find a suitable head. Thus it tries villager after villager, borrowing his or her head while the decapitated body burns off its life energy unless another is chosen timely. Only the sleepy man whom name nobody can remember or take notice off, as when he complain everyone makes too much noise, enjoys being in the spotlight for once. Yet he couldn't survive long, so the only solution comes semi-accidentally from the orphan kids' costume crafting.

My Fair Demon

Ever-competitive Puss can't resist partaking in the 'gold stars for good deeds' scheme with a secret price which Ducinea invented to motivate the orphans. It turns dangerous when a leak in the hell-mound allows the arrival in San Lorenzo of the demon Pigmalion, an ogre consisting of porcine, maggot and leonine parts, who was rejected by his family because he failed to learn how to be evil. Puss resolves to reunite the demo kind by teaching him vice, but even meanest robber El Moco finds that task hopeless. So Puss has him draw the ultimate source of evil, the Scimetar, with surprising results.

Too Many Cats

Nobody understands Artephius's alchemist explanation why the netherworld portal opens for a series of Puss versions from other worlds. Each seems to match some group of citizens or neighbors and wears a fitting head, like Skeleton Puss or Pirate Puss. Real puss is rather flattered and welcomes his flock of clones, but then is confronted with his best-matched 'twin'. Evil Puss looks and performs just like him, except he isn't noble but a criminal mastermind, intending to take over a San Lorenzo's leader Puss.

Before They Hatch

Puss fights gargoyle Mary, until he finds orphan Esme greats it as her 'imaginary' friend, which according to her minder Señora Zapata remains harmless as long as everyone pretends the monster is imaginary. However Mary is on a vital mission: finding and hatching her three eggs. Puss and Dulcinea help retrieve them from the robbers camp, where Ignacia stole them as they resemble giant jewels, but they hatch.

The Iceman Melteth

Puss and his mates fear the return through the hell portal of Tim, the ice monster that once fought Puss for a polar bear. However the hot weather in San Lorenzo makes Tim melt away, possibly fatally. Puss's gang takes pity on him, but Artephius's attempt to shield the tropical sun by conjuring clouds backfires, so they attempt to help Tim with his 'bucket list', which brings out a hedonistic side in the monster, who now regrets having wasted his previous life being mean, but is grateful to have got to make up so much on his last day.

Swine and Roses

On Lord Chrispintine's day, when people in San Lorenzo give roses to their "date", Puss struggles to ask Dulcinea to be his date, while she struggles to ask him to be her date. In the meantime, a gang of faerie imps emerge from the Netherworld to cause trouble in the town, and attempt to trick Toby to join them in tempting everyone to evil. Puss's party find that the mysterious Blind King, is sending all these creatures trough the hell gate, trying to destroy San Lorenzo.
Episode 9
The Great Stink

As a putrid stench spoils life in San Lorenzo, people search for the cause inside, Puss even himself, while it gets too intense to properly pursue a dare from the three Italian thieves, whose Venetian mask proves fairly effective. Only Eames thought of checking the hell-mound, indeed the source, but is ignored a usual. The stench gets so crushing everyone must seek shelter in the inn, only the noseless skeletons can carry victims, who find relief in the odor of roses. Finally Puss faces the actual culprit, a giant troll with stench glands, and finds the strength to defeat it.

Dances with Dingoes

The San Lorenzo community agrees that everyone must get a fair chance there, even who comes from through portal. So canine Sheila, whom Puss mistakes for a dog, wins wide sympathy as the dingo dances so well in a weird modern style. Flamenco champion Puss feels insulted and challenges her to a dance off, but looses and all kids want lessons from her. Dulcinea switches allegiance back only when Artephius realizes the dingo dance is actually a magical compelling ritual to culminate in the conjuring of the evil Kfhoggnarh. Puss must take her on in a dance duel 'to the death', or preferably get hold of the anklet that magically controls Sheila.
Episode 11
Remember Me Not

Dulcinea accidentally finds that orphan girl Lil' Pequena, who has been present in the background since long, is a sheevra (a shape-shifting faerie), sent as spy by the Blind King to gather information about San Lorenzo. She covers up, using her ability to alter everyone's memories, making them believe she always lived in the orphanage. Next she makes everyone forget about Dulcinea, who has to make her friends remember who she is, and the key is rekindling Puss's love.

Through Caverns Measureless

Jumping through the hell gate portal gave all his mates superpowers, only Puss remains himself, hence feels diminished, almost superfluous. Sorceress Babieca, the first creature they take on, turns out to be the leader of a 'resistance' against the Blind King, so they agree to join forces, but find she's alone and not formidable, yet accept her daring attack plan, which reduces Puss to standing guard. He is attacked by Zephelim, a cyclops amazon bunch, who overwhelm him.
Episode 13
A Savage Place

The Zephelim hazing tests prove actually easy for felines on anatomical grounds, so Puss creams them. He takes charge of the attempt to defeat the one-eyed king who usurped power in the Neatherworld to misrule, as the assembled others fail utterly. He turns out to be an evil version of Puss from an alternate universe (earlier episode), who lost his sight but gained mind control powers when tossed into the portal. It becomes urgent as he unleashes the monstrous giant lizard. That can only be controlled by the true ruler of the netherworld, which status is contended not only by the dueling cats, and with Artephius's magic Puss helps reinstate the former queen, thereto liberated mind-fucker elf Lil'Pequena . Yet the portal may not be closed, Puss's loyal party's fates even seems sealed.
