Puss's party searches for the next missing gem from the Crown of Souls. It's kept by witch sister Malaranea, a deceptive beauty who lures Puss to approach only so she can seize him in her giant spider shape, glued to her web and spun into a cocoon, so she can suck out his magical life energy and become the greatest witch. While Puss gets dreams, peasant turning into nightmares, Dulcinea and the others, all locked into a cage, desperately seek to break the spell.

Puss's party finds the third witch's room empty, her window open, and one by one seem to fall prey to her enchanting flute. Still the pier sister is overcome, but her piece of the jewel doesn't complete the Crown of Souls. There must be a fourth and indeed the castle has a cloaked last tower, only it's uninhabited. The duchess plays a key part in discovering its confusing secret and dealing with the curse.

Puss suddenly wakes up alone on a deserted jungle island. He must learn survival techniques the hard way, near despair. Hvaing made e coconut he draws a face on his substitute companion and chased in vain a seagull, he finds it's all the doing of a she-tiger who beleaguers him and holds a furious grudge over being dumped in Sevilla, which he can't even remember, but he works to a romantic apology dinner. Meanwhile San Lorenzo turned chaotic in Puss's absence, until Dulcinea learns he was abducted and where, just in time to cause unwitting new havoc.

The Crown of Souls is now complete, but even Artephius is clueless how to use it. While Puss terrorizes her former pupil thieves 'as a lesson', Dulcinea resolves to seek advise from her hero, author Miguel A., who wrote the compendium in nursery rhymes form she constantly quotes, and the only source about the crown. Before Puss follows, a bounty having been set by the robbers who hence chase him, she has found Miguel A; a misprint for Miguela, who lives in a wood shack, embittered as the work sold only one copy, ending her career as successful author. Dulcinea refuses to accept it's a failure, even determined to make her write a sequel, whatever that takes.

Puss is not amused, feeling somewhat useless, as Dulcinea starts a 'behavior school for wayward thieves', which keeps them off the street and learning how to behave, while suspicious Puss looks like a brute. Trouble returns when her praise for Uli, who joined the course, inspires him to teach himself, leading to her being ousted and the lessons turning into a semi-crime school. Now Puss and Dulcine a must team up to set things straight in San Lorenzo his way.

Puss and Dulcinea accompany Miguela to search for the book on the Crown she consulted in her former home, a mansion she was forced to sell to ogre Tranche, who regularly eats locals bad-tempered. Luckily he vainly aspires posing as an aristocrat, so Puss pretends to visit as passing prince, with Dulcinea as consort. Just before they are welcomed, Uli arrives and Trache concludes from his Bavarian attire he must be the prince, so Puss must play along as 'dumb valet'. Tension rises before, during and after dinner as Puss feels abused, while Miguela progresses slowly perusing the library, tempted to browse her beloved books. Confusion reigns until everyone gets what they need.

While even Artephius can't make sense of the manual on the Crown of Souls, Celtic thunder god Taranis arrives with his magical wheel and power source. He desperately seeks the prophesied help of the 'allmighty' puss in boots to help him stop the evil patriarch of gods Toutatis, who plans to destroy all mortals with his lightning-powered battle ax. Puss dares nor refuse or admit he lacks supernatural power, as Taranis might smith him, but even together they seem no match for undaunted Toutatis, whose ax is too heavy to steal.

Episode 9

Puss and his drinking mates laugh away publican Pajuna's stories as Scottish swamp monster killer. Then her former bounty hunting partner, the wild boar Roz, arrives and call an old marker since an incident at the Urquhart castle in ancestral Scotland to team up for a last job. Having accepted, she's horrified to learn it's for a price the thieves put on Puss's head. Attempts not to find 'unknown' Puss fail as the very thieves inform Roz he lives in San Lorenzo, so the 'epic' finale happens back there, where villagers desperately miss the inn services.

Episode 10

The gang's study showed the crown won't work without an obelisk, so Puss, Artephius and Dulcinea must seek the Sphinx's help and her sister's to go search for it in the forest of wishes, but are dropped in different wish fountains. Puss's is the worst, forcing him to endure a hundred hiccup-induced annoying conditions. But is pays off, they get a lead to the obelisk..

Episode 11

Puss and Dulcine work out the clue for the obelisk: it's in the grotto of riches, a treasury amassed by a ram. He won't hand it over, until they work out he's heartbroken for nursery rhyme shepherdess Mary, whose little lamb he was until she ditched him enrolled in a posh private school and agrees to pay if if they bring her to him, for moral revenge having become rich as Croesus. Puss's party tracks her down, running an academy for wayward rams. Puss tries abducting her, forced to bid for the leading ram position, Dulcinea and Artephius attempt sneaking to Mary and convincing her. It works, with weird effects and a frustrating conclusion.

Episode 12

Puss's party's triumphant return from the obelisk quest turns sour as all San Lorenzo is terrorized by now utterly mad El Moco, who seeks revenge manning a giant armored robot which Puss must fight off. In the process they stumble upon the underground access to the Obelisk of Night and find inscribed instructions, without its goal. Puss can't wear the oversized crown, but it fits Dulcinea, thus declared the prophesied one. It's too late when Ulli smirks the purpose of the obelisk is not to counter but the welcome the blood-wolf, whom he serves.

Episode 13

Frustrated Uri has finally managed to awaken the satanic creature from the statue: the Bloodwolf arises from hell, but is too evil to be grateful, just eager to terrorize the entire earth by preying on every creature's deepest fear. With assorted monsters released in town, that works on everybody, except Puss, whose believes his worst fear already came true: the loss of his beloved Dulcinea, yet his valiant band's attacks can barely distract the hellish legion. She meanwhile is visited in a vision by shady lookalikes, who offer her a magic amulet and reveal it gives her a dilemma: stand by how the Bloodwolf spread apocalyptic horror from San Lorenzo, or sacrifice herself by dragging him back to the underworld. But betrayed summoner Uri's new frustration turns it all around.
