The 'white glove' however gives priority to training his juvenile new protege, The Ugly Duckling, who proves better at anything than Puss, yet lacks confidence and fighting spirit. It turns out the mentor is pressed to pay off debts and Puss needs to help out both against four porcine gangsters.

Made to realize he can't be on both horses simultaneously, Artephius comes up with a solution: magically conjuring a 'twin brother', who proves physically identical as hoped and not evil as feared, but clueless and hard to train. A remark from the innkeeper gets Ulli suspicious about the celebratory dinner, so he plots to poison it.

The bovine innkeeper Pavuna introduces San Lorenzo to a game of coin tossing to win tickets, many of which earn a 'free', tack prize. Yet people flock in to play it, getting hooked to the gambling, even Puss, who gets totally obsessed. Dulcinea starts a temperance school to talk over criminals, but his no luck with Puss, who looses his sword and boots in a gamble to win back his losses, then wretchedly searches the town for a lost coin or to borrow, while San Lorenzo remains unprotected. Dulcinea must resort to a dirty trick.

King Pickles

Puss and his mates love celebrating everybody's birthday fiestas, so when gloomy urchin Pickles refuses his, grumbling he likes no single element, Puss vows to make him like this one. Preliminary attempts having failed, Puss presents a fake scroll in the treasury, suggesting Pickles is the new king of San Lorenzo. He has a ball playing the lord of misrule while everybody plays along as obedient subjects. Overhearing Puss that evening it was all make-believes, he gloomily resorts to black magic at Artephius's place to create an army of blindly loyal magical pickle guards, in stead of royal champion Puss. This reign of terror turns apocalyptic when he decides to expand his realm by invading the kingdom of the Moles.

Pirate Booty

San Lorenzo hopes to be liberated from the Bloodwolf by finding the magical crown of beasts, which is part of the pirate treasure of San Lozano. Puss embarks on a flying pirate ship to search it, but his ballad creations and others stunts cause havoc until he's thrown down 'to face his fear of the ocean'. They meet again at a jungle island, where the treasure trove is dug up, but the pirate captain's also singing parrot, who was presumed dead, actually seeks revenge for being cruelly neglected by using a magical ring he stole and commands an army of skeletons. Unlike the pirates, Puss defeats them and settles it all, with the captain, in surprising ways.

Cat Fish

The flying pirates' captain tires of Puss boasting and lording, so hearing he has a phobia of the ocean simply forces him to 'face it' by dumping him into the sea. Nearly drowning, he's found and rescued by the mean mermaid which always had a crush on him, but now she's expecting her patient merman husband's baby, albeit it in his womb. The Emperor Merman rules him an intruder, who must choose between execution or a 'worse fate', which Puss is the first-ever to opt for, so the couple decides to train him for the battle, but does a lousy job while they only have a few hours. It's a duel with a cave monster nobody ever saw, and surprises everyone.

Parrot Booty

Worry weighs on everyone back in San Lorenzo as Puss and the pirates find treasure and must fight a barbaric parrot with a skeleton army.
Episode 13
Skeleton Town

Despite Puss's efforts to present the skeleton army as his friends, who helped San Lorenzo to the Crwn of Souls, everyone else is scared by them, whether influenced by the innkeeper of not. While they make elaborate preparations for a fiesta, even Puss leans to fear. Meanwhile Uli is sick of his claims to be a terrible Bloodwolf being ridiculed by urchins, intrudes the town treasury and finds a magical bow enabling him to spread havoc by burning arrows. Puss fails to stop him, but the skeletons manage to cage Uli and win general acclaim, fraternizing at the fiesta.
