Chasing fiends out of San Lorenzo, Puss bumps into a forest mermaid, called Feejee. She's as hideous as clingy, has an instant crush on the gallant feline and follows him into town, where she proves a pest for everyone, which Puss just can't shake off - until a merman appears.

While Puss must admit his innate fear of bees, the mayor trusts them since youth and communicates confidently, making him the only person in San Lorenzo not terrorized by a giant swarm of bees. A Piper offers demonstrates the power to make them leave by flute music, but demands half of the city treasure. Puss must work out how to conquer his fear and sabotage the bee control.

Realizing San Lorenzo is without defense when he's unavailable, Puss resolves to train a squad of orphan kids, but his method doesn't even impress Dulcinea. Meanwhile super-fiend El Moco, whom Puss once locked in a chest, has escaped and gathered goon for revenge. They manage to capture Puss, torture him clumsily and contemplate execution. He now hopes the squad will come to his rescue and serve at least as decoy.

San Lorenzo being under threat of an ensure fiends army, Puss decides only restoring the spell can save the city. He refuses to wait for Artephius to find the crucial scroll, but his own attempt causes a wacky spell conjuring a crazy owl-shop-cross, Agosto, which they can't control. Instead of defeating El Moco and his gathering horde, the owl apparently joins them and Puss gets captured trying to talk him over, yet Artorius finds the key.

Scimitar

Artephius points out the protective spell can only be restored if all treasures are returned. A tenth is lacking, but he knows of a magical wand that can find them all, which can only be wielded with a pure hart. Puss sets out to get it, assisted by Dulcinea, who seems able to resist the evil Scimitar needed to find the wand, but not long enough.

While Puss is on his mission to restore the spell, San Lorenzo is visited by an Antiquity style thunder god, who arrives by lighting chariot to retrieve a magical item from the treasure house, which would ruin everything, and threatens to vanquish the city himself otherwise. The orphans keep thinking up superhero stories about Puss, which surprisingly ends up scaring the divine-thieving intruder off.

Puss's party proudly returns with what he hopes to be the last of the stolen items from the treasury, but returning it fails to restore the protective spell on San Lebzo, as the unaltered statue of the great sorcerer Sino shows, and the matter is urgent as evil sorceress Duchess will soon attack in her protective mechanical-magical armor. Puss speed-reeds the treasury catalog to identify the missing object: the coin from the future he accidentally broke the spell with. He sets out and retrieves it, albeit not before Duchess arrives, but Sino is revived and turns on both of them.

Bannished by sorcerer Sino for wrecking the protective spell even though he reassembled the treasure, Puss joined the black cats guild in the forest. Artephius worries the spell he's instructed to write before the eclipse seems black magic. Asked back by Dulcinea, Puss sneaks into San Lorenzo and finds out he's up against a fake Sino, actually evil 'mouse' sorcerer Bartholemew, who has gathered much magical power, unwitting their is an evil mastermind behind him.
