Gallant feline Puss in boots, a better swordsman then Zorro, is used to deal arrogantly with fiends. Following an imprudent she-pussy, he stumbles into San Lorenzo, the legendary hidden city, where animals live in total crime-free peace, protected by magician Sinan's spell. Unknwoingly, Puss undoes it, so villains must be expected to keep swarming to pillage the rich city. Puss pledges to ward them off if the town-folk help stand up while a mean sis sought to restore the magical protection.

Sphinx

Puss is proud of his orphan pupils's progress in fiend handling and decides to reward them with almond cookies. Alas he unwittingly used super-strong Inca Sugar from the pub, which is normal quantity renders them terminally hyperactive. The only known remedy is sand from the Sphinx's hourglass, but it's a long, perilous journey, Puss is no good at guessing riddles and catapulted all the way back each time. Failing too often, he must be eaten, but uses his feline charms and strikes a remarkable deal.

Puss is Toby's new BFFAEAE and it's driving Puss crazy, but when Toby is kidnapped by his ninja brothers, Puss realizes how much he misses the big oaf. Unfortunately, the brothers use Toby to steal a powerful gauntlet from the treasure house, which they plan to use for "mad evil, bro."

Artephius, the town alchemist, is the latest prey of the'duchess', a sorceress who systematically steals magicians' souls to extract their most powerful spells. Now San Lorenzo is no longer cloaked, she can finally locate him and enter. Puss tries to defend him, but he's convinced everyone, even she, will do right if give the chance, and she had a crush on him as a youth.

Puss misses the old days adventuring with his buddy Jack Sprat. Fearful he will leave San Lorenzo, Dulcinea concocts a super special adventure surprise with the orphans. But Jack Sprat shows up with the promise of a damsel in distress... who turns out to be a super scary monster.

Puss's delight at a visit from his old mentor El Guante Blanco ('white' glove') turns grim when told it's to retire and die, having reached the end of his physical forces. Town sage Artephius points out the only cure, which he tried successfully, is rejuvenation by the fountain of youth, which works only once per person. The trio sets out for it with Dulcinea, but it's one of many (yet) unlabeled magical fountains which must be tested, and the area is guarded by the sphinx's mean sister Callista.

Bravery

Puss is tired of soothing mayor Temeroso's incessant nightmares. He and Dulcinea plot to give him confidence by staging a robbery where the mayor seems to stand up and catch them. Althoughi it fails, the confused mayor is convinced to be the town's latest hero, resign for office and vows to rise to his grand new status by declaring himself the hero of the western desert. Saving him from foolish bravery to take on all thieves market fiends is too much, but even after the truth chases Temeroso back to San Lorenzo, danger follows.

Golem

Puss tells the orphans stories, one of which explains how the scent of cinnamon scares him because it reminds him of the golem, a clay monster a wizard conjured with the sole mission to destroy Puss. Then a strong smell announces the giant had finally tracked Puss down and arrives in San Lorenzo, unstoppable, yet it turns out he wishes no harm and alchemist Artephius knows exactly how to reprogram a golem.

Boots

Against his better judgment, Puss welcomes old mate-in-crime Jack back, who swears once more to be a reformed character, but gets him to visit the treasury, where he takes special interest in the giant pacing boots and the cup that grants invisibility - to steal them. Puss desperately sets chase, following Jack's trails of thefts all the way to the thieves's market. Then they are confronted with the magic's payback, a deadly storm, which heads fro San Lorenzo. Puss locks up Jack, but must admit needing his cleverer help to stand a chance against the evil storm.

Sword

A magical sword in a rock lands in San Lorenzo, promising whoever can draw it city hero status. Puss lets all eager townsfolk try, confident he alone qualifies, but to general surprise the talking Goodsword chooses reluctant Dulcinea and calls shocked Puss her sidekick. He still trains and motivates her to ward off fiends. The real challenge however arrives in the person of knight Thriffith, who wields an evil blade. Puss must solve the riddle why Goodsword refuses to defeat him.

Mouse

Puss must suppress his feline appetite for mice when the orphans and women all take to such a rodent and spoil it rotten. Only klutzy alchemist Artephius claims it's a monster, not a real mouse, and ultimately is proved right after demonstrations of black magic with a vindictive root from transformed sorcerer Bartolemew.

Goblin

The clueless orphans make an easy target for a juvenile goblin, but Puss takes her in hearing it's an orphan too. Sorceress Duchess however enlists the dumb goblin for an elaborate revenge plan on all San Lorenzo, during which Puss is captivated and his key to the treasury stolen for an item she's dead-set on.

Puss and his fellow town-folk are kept in the dark about strong things happening around Dulcinea. Seeking occasions to help people, usually in vain, she discovered her personal wishing star, Esteban, who warns he can't grant further wishes if his existence is disclosed. Alas her wishes keep proving too vague and backfiring, even the ones meant to make up. Truth time comes when everyone is in danger even Puss can't control..

Pigs

Just when town hero Puss prepares to triumphantly 'accept' being made citizen of the year, without any modesty, piglet Toby's Brandt arrives, seeking help to be reunited with their cool brothers' 'ninja band' after a magical disaster. Puss comes along ad finds Brandt is ignoring the Obvious, even when told so by Dom, Chad and Lamar: he was dumped with a ruse but deliberately expelled as a useless loser.

Luck

A goblin spell suddenly turns unsuspecting Puss into a black bad luck cat, so he decides to leave San Lorenzo, rather then endanger everyone, until his curse is reversed. He meets a trio of outcast black cat vagrants, who promise to undo the spell if he helps them out, albeit it with bad business. Puss pulls it off, even a task they set as impossible, discovers the while truth and turns it to everyone's advantage.
