Episode 1
Vernon is trying to find a girlfriend. He didn't have any luck with speed dating and he doesn't like the women from Lonely Hearts adds. His daughter's attractive female professor is visiting and she shows interest in him, but he is oblivious to her efforts. Will Vernon play his cards right when the professor makes it clear that she's attracted to him?
Episode 2
Vernon got a bill for his divorce proceedings from his lawyers. The bill is larger than he expected, since the lawyers charged every minute he spent in their office, including the small talks and TV watching. He tries to get money from his kids and they agree to give him the money if he does the housekeeping for a week. Vernon messes up his chores and is forced to take a string of odd jobs in order to get the money.
Episode 3
Vernon, an aspiring musician, is going to AA meetings in order to get to know the record producers. He is planning to send them his demo tape in the near future. He also goes to Narc Anon, Sex Addicts Anon etc. On one of these meetings, a man shares his story of redemption for being a rubbish father. When he returns home, Vernon tells about this man to his kids and they respond with telling him that he was a lousy father too. He decides to make up to them for all the years of neglect, but his plan does not work out the way he planned.
Episode 4
Vernon meets two girls who invite him to a rave. He accidentally takes Ecstasy, mistaking it with a candy and ends up in hospital. After that, he goes through a series of tests and his medical report states that he should lose weight. Milly pressures him to start doing exercise and eat healthy food, but Vernon has his way of getting out of this predicament.
Episode 5
Vernon decides to go back to University, but things don't go quite the way he planned.
Episode 6
Vernon gets a chance to play in a band.
Episode 7
The kids decide that Vernon needs to move out.
Episode 8
Vernon is left home alone for the weekend.
