The Lutz-Carrillos hope to quell the family's constant bickering. The Serratos want their dad to learn that the kids need a father and not just a coach. The families will compete in the Knot, Water, and Animal Tracks challenge before racing through the General Store to get all the Essential Items and gear they need for their as they raft, rappel, and cross truly terrifying terrain. Who will learn to put differences aside, finish first and claim the $10,000 prize.

The Taylors hope to unite their blended family and become one flock. The Yuens want to help their daughters change their approach to adventure. The families compete in the Water, Evac, and Knot challenges to win additional time in the General Store where they have to grab the Essential Items for their trip on foot and all-terrain vehicles through the rocky highs and lows of the unpredictable terrain.
