The DEO is using William to reach the underlying Russell, his best friend, in Rip Roar. There is a breach. In the confusion, the Shadow is after Rip Roar but is unable to grab him. The Shadow escapes to her home and unmasks. It is Andrea. She heads for Lena's hoping for another chance to get inside the DEO. She is sure that Leviathan, the group that forced him to create the tidal wave, is preparing to kill him. She wants to save him. Lena tells Andrea that she will not help, that they are not friends. A series of flashbacks ensues to uncover where Lena's resentment arose. As a girl, her mother would tell her stories of a girl who was looking for the Medallion of Arcata. It would give the holder the power to bend shadows to his/her will. Lena relates this story to Andrea. Later, a satellite image of Costa Rica shows what appears to be the maze-like image associated with the Medallion. Lena and Andrea go to Central America to check it out. The ground where Andrea is standing suddenly drops, taking her with it. She is in a underground chamber with a stone bearing the actual Medallion at its center. She is approached by a messenger from Leviathan who tells her that she must take it, keep it on her person, and never speak of it to anyone. When Lena manages to lower herself on a rope, she sees the Medallion is gone. Andrea says nothing about it. Lena spots it on a chain around Andrea's neck when she is in London. She feels her trust was violated, hence not wanting to help her now. Through her, Russell comes into contact with Leviathan bioengineers who turn him into Rip Roar. Andrea finally talks Lena into helping her. She gives the Medallion to Lena who activates her Supergirl alert drawing her away from the DEO so that Shadow can get in. Lena also initiates a psychic inception attack. DEO personnel are frozen or doing her bidding. This allows her to free Rip Roar, but Leviathan agents are standing by and shoot him. Leviathan is now looking into Tess Mercer's memories.

Tremors

Margot shows up at Lena's apartment seeking the Medallion of Arcata but fails because Lena's home security system anticipated such a move. The alien Rama Kahn, Leviathan agent, declares he must take action. As Lena is giving a dedication speech about donating land for a park, Leviathan shows up shaking the ground at will. Lena anticipated this, too, and has her watch poised to call Supergirl when she jumps off the cliff to avoid him. Meanwhile, J'onn begins to have visions of Malefic. When he asks his father's spirit for help, he suggests J'onn should attempt to bond with his brother, no matter the outcome. The bond is successful, and Malefic forgives J'onn completely. Back at the D.E.O., Brainy discovers what he thinks is Leviathan's location and travels there with Alex. It is a bomb wrapped in Rip Roar's armor. Alex suffers a concussion. Lena is being clever about gaining access to weapons stored in the Fortress of Solitude. She maneuvers Kara into taking her there to search for a weapon that can defeat Leviathan. Suddenly, they are attacked by Rama Khan. Because he couldn't sense Supergirl or Lena, he knew they had to be there. While fighting him, Kara manages to suppress Khan's powers, forcing him to retreat. Afterwards, Lena admits to Kara she killed Lex, knew her secret before she told her, and rants about how Supergirl broke her trust and deserves to feel her pain. Lena ignores Kara's attempts to reason with her. She asks if she can access the quantum computer to send a message. Supergirl acquiesces. Lena programs it to consider Supergirl an intruder. Kara is trapped in an ice cell full of kryptonite gas. Lena grabs a terrible weapon known a Myriad. Superman hid it there because its effects were so terrible. Back at the DEO, Kelly and Alex bond even closer following the attempt on Alex's life. Brainy pieces together bomb fragments and sees a three-armed shape that is a Leviathan. He recognizes that he has seen the same pattern elsewhere. He takes Alex with him to a dilapidated looking mansion presuming it is the headquarters of Leviathan. He and Alex enter and descend in an elevator. It releases them into a cave tunnel where Leviathan agent Gamemnae appears to have them at her mercy.

The Wrath of Rama Khan

Alex and Brainy go to the Fortress of Solitude to rescue Kara from ice cell filled with kryptonite gas. Lena has fled to Lex's stronghold beneath Mt. Norquay where she and Hope (Eve cyborg) are preparing to launch No Nocere using Myriad. With that in place, she can use Q-waves to control the entire human populace for peaceful ends. Kara goes there to talk her out of doing that and is met with canon fire. When the first round of charges doesn't stop her, they cycle to kryptonite shells. Lena is unwilling to kill her and disables them. Alex tells Kara that Lena is beyond redemption, but Kara disagrees. She talks Brainy into letting her converse with Lena via a hologram link. During the unsuccessful visit, the DEO downloads a virus to take out Myriad. Kara and J'onn head to the La Brea Tar Pits where Khan has forced Andrea to help him create a super-volcano that will result in a cleansing extinction event. The two superheroes are able to impede its start. As the launch of No Nocere is only minutes away, Alex has Claymore aimed at Mt. Norquay. If used, it will kill Lena. J'onn argues that Malefic could use his own Q-waves to repel the Q-waves coming from Lena's device. Alex is reluctant to trust Melefic to help the DEO after all the trouble he has caused. Brainy helps sway her to acquiesce. J'onn wrests the staff out of the underground chamber where Andrea is being held. This allows Kara to subdue Khan. Andrea seals him temporarily in the tar pit before they attack Leviathan's hideout. Leviathan operative Gamemnae tells Khan that he has grown weak, that she is relieving him of further duties. Malefic is able to overcome Lena's No Nocere allowing DEO agents to infiltrate her hideaway. When Lena and Hope are discovered, the Hope grabs Lena's gun and pretends she is holding Lena as a hostage. She takes full blame for No Nocere to allow Lena to go free. J'onn convinces his brother Malefic to return to Mars and help restore peace there. AS Malefic flies off, the Monitor appears J'onn. He reveals that he brought Malefic to Earth to test J'onn for an impending crisis. The Monitor has been able to resurrect Lex, preparing him for the upcoming crisis, too. This will play to Lex's desire to become a hero in exchange for helping him with a favor involving Lena.
