On the serene beaches of Oahu, 21-year-old Masumi Watanabe is winding down a two-month journey of self-discovery. A quiet woman with a love of drawing, Masumi mostly keeps to herself, but finds solace in her morning walks which give her the chance to take in the beautiful scenery. However, her sojourn comes to an abrupt end when Masumi is abducted in broad daylight. Her whereabouts captivate the entire state of Hawaii as locals and tourists alike hold their breaths, hopeful she'll be found. And as police race against the clock to not only locate Masumi but to find her captor, they can't help but ask themselves: was Masumi's abductor known to her? Or was this a wholly random kidnapping?
