The Launch Show

In the season 12 Launch Show, the 15 new contestants get paired up with their professional partners and perform their first group dance. There is a performance from 2013 champions Abbey and Aljaz, plus music from guests 5 Seconds of Summer, and Imelda May and Smokey Robinson.

Week 1: Show 1

Six of the 15 new contestants, Caroline, Tim, Jake, Judy, Scott and Pixie take to the floor for the first time with their professional partners, to perform for judges votes. After this first show, Jake and Janette are top of the judges leader board with a score of 28, Scott and Joanne are bottom with 16.

The final nine contestants perform for the first time for judges votes. There is also a pro group dance. After the 2nd show, Frankie and Kevin are the new leaders with a score of 30, with Scott and Joanne still bottom with 16.

All 15 contestants perform together for the first time for the judges, and for public votes. Jake and Janette, and Pixie and Trent receive the first 9's of the season so far. After last week's judges scores are added to this weeks, Jake and Janette are top of the leader board with a score of 63, with Judy and Anton bottom with 35.

Week 2 Results

In the first results show of the season there is a group pro dance to Let it Go from the film Frozen, and music from special guests Jamie Cullum and Gregory Porter. Gregg and Aliona, and Jennifer and Triston find themselves in the bottom two and have to perform in the dance off, with Gregg and Aliona being the first pair to leave the competition.

Week 3: Movie Special

There is a movie themed group dance, and the remaining 14 couples perform a movie themed dance. Donny Osmond appears as a guest judge for one week only. Frankie and Kevin find themselves top of the judges leader board with a score of 45 out of 50 including the season's first perfect '10' from Donny, with Tim and Natalie bottom with 22 out of 50.

Week 3 Results

There is a group pro dance to Step in Time from Mary Poppins, plus music from special guest judge Donny Osmond, who sings Moon River. Simon and Kristina, and Jennifer and Tristan find themselves in the bottom two, with Jennifer and Tristan leaving the competition.

The remaining 13 couples perform for judges scores and audience votes. Jake and Janette, and Caroline and Pasha find themselves joint top of the judges leader board with a score of 33, with Scott and Joanne bottom with just 15.

Week 6: Halloween Special

In this Halloween special there is a spooky pro dance to Bat Out of Hell, and the remaining couples each perform a spooky themed dance for judges scores and audience votes. Frankie and Kevin top the leader board with a score of 37 (including the first main judge '10' of the season from Bruno) for their Wicked themed Tango, with Judy and Anton bottom with 20 for their 101 Dalmations themed American Smooth.

In the Halloween themed results show there is a scary pro group dance plus music from special guest Annie Lennox. Alison and Aljaz plus Scott and Joanne find themselves in the dance off, with Scott and Joanne the latest couple to leave the competition.

Zoe again steps into Claudia's shoes and the remaining 10 pairs perform for the judges. Pixie and Trent are top of the judges leader board receiving their first 10 and a score of 36 for their Foxtrot. Judy and Anton are again bottom with a score of 18 for their Paso Doble.

In a Remembrance Day themed results show there is a themed group pro dance and musical guest Katherine Jenkins sings We'll Gather Lilacs. Alison and Aljaz, and for the first time Caroline and Pasha find themselves in the bottom two and perform again in the dance off, with Alison and Aljaz becoming the latest pair to be voted off the show.

Week 8: Blackpool Special

In the Blackpool special from the Tower Ballroom there is a group pro dance to I Have a Dream, and the remaining nine couples perform for judges score and audience votes. Simon and Kristina, and Pixie and Trent share the top of the leader board with a score of 38 each with Judy and Anton again bottom with a score of 24.

In the Blackpool results show there is a pro/celebrity group dance to the music of The Jacksons, plus music from special guests McBusted, and Dame Shirley Bassey. Sunetra and Brendan, and Judy and Anton find themselves in the bottom two and perform again in the dance off, with Judy and Anton being voted out of the competition.

Caroline and Pasha top the judges leader board with a score of 39 for their Charleston, with Sunetra and Brendan bottom with 27 for their Rumba.

Week 10 Results

There is a group pro dance and music from the cast of Lord of the Dance, and André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra who are joined by Alfie Boe. Mark and Karen, and for the third time Sunetra and Brendan find themselves in the bottom two and the dance off, with Sunetra and Brendan leaving the competition.

The six remaining couples perform both a main dance plus compete in a Waltzathon for judges scores and audience votes. Caroline and Pasha receive the highest score of 39 for their Argentine Tango, with Frankie and Kevin bottom with 34 for their Salsa. After the Waltzathon scores are added (which was won by Pixie and Trent), the final leader board sees Caroline and Pasha still top with 42 (39 and 3) with Mark and Karen now bottom (35 for their main dance and 2 for the Waltzathon).

In the quarter final results show there is a group pro dance plus music from special guests OneRepublic. Simon and Kristina, and Pixie and Trent find themselves in the bottom two, with Pixie and Trent being voted out of the competition.

Week 12: The Semi-Final

In the semi-final, the remaining five couples each perform two dances for judges scores and audience votes. Caroline and Pasha again find themselves top of the leader board with 35 for their Foxtrot and the season's first perfect 40 (and Craig's first 10) for their Salsa. Jake and Janette are bottom with scores of 30 and 31.

Week 12: The Semi-Final Results

In a very emotional semi final results show there is a group pro dance plus music from Paloma Faith. Mark and Karen, and Jake and Janette find themselves in the bottom two and have to perform again in the dance off, with Jake and Janette leaving the competition.

The Grand Final: Show 1

In the first show of this season's Grand Final, each of the 4 contestants perform a judges choice dance, and their Show Dance. Caroline and Pasha top the leader board with a perfect score of 40 from the judges for each of their dances.

The Grand Final: Show 2

At the start of this season's second Grand Final show, Mark and Karen leave the competition after having received the least viewer votes. The other three pairs then perform their favorite dance of the season for judges scores. Caroline and Pasha again receive a perfect 40 meaning they are the only couple in Strictly history to receive perfect 40's for each of their Final dances. There is music from special guests Take That and all previous contestants perform a group dance. Caroline and Pasha are then crowned 2014 Champions.

Christmas Special 2014

Sir Bruce Forsyth returns to host the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special with Tess Daly. This year Strictly goes to town with a pantomime theme as six of the most memorable celebrities from past series of Strictly compete in a one-off festive special. Len, Bruno, Craig and Darcey get into the panto spirit too - Baron Hardup, the Evil Queen, the Fairy Godmother and Buttons judge the performances. Past champions Chris Hollins and Louis Smith, finalists Sophie Ellis Bextor and Rachel Stevens, plus viewers favourites Russell Grant and Lisa Riley rock around the dance floor as they vie to get their hands on the Strictly trophy. The host of the show, Sir Bruce, stars in a very special performance of Winter Wonderland with the female pros. Louis Smith wins his second Strictly Come Dancing title after triumphing in the 2014 Christmas special.
