Karen Roberts is about to be laid off by Edwin Alva after he refuses to get revenge on Static, since the hero has saved his son. Karen becomes bitter over the fact that she has lost her job and she blames Static for this. Karen soon learns that Static is Virgil Hawkins and she captures Robert as leeway to get Static to give himself up. Static and Gear work together to defeat Karen who has become Omnara who has enacted her scheme to control all of the technology and get her revenge on Edwin Alva for dismissing her.

As the doctors find and distribute a cure, all the bang babies start to lose all their powers and begin turning back to normal, including static and gear. Not everyone is happy about going back to normal so the meta gang steal some of the original big bang gas in the hopes of making their own big bang, giving them there powers back. Can static and gear stop them before their own powers run out?
