Hard as Nails

Static must team up with Batman when his friend, Allie goes to Gotham City to get cured of her bang baby affliction, but she is forced to reluctantly team up with Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy to steal gold from a cargo ship. During the heist, Allie refuses to go along with the robbery and the female criminals don't hold their end of the deal. Allie almost drowns but she is saved by Static. Allie stops Ivy from stealing the gold and Static defeats Harley by using his powers to subdue her. Batman apprehends to duo, but Allie tries to get her revenge on Harley and Ivy for deceiving her. Static convinces Allie to spare the female criminals and he reminds her that she can get the help she needs instead of running away from him or Batman. Allie soon realizes that getting revenge on Harley and Ivy won't make her feel any better. In the hospital, Allie gets cured properly of her powers with a project being funded by Bruce Wayne and Virgil reminds Allie to never lose hope.

When they capture Static they inadvertently ruin Alva's project and he fires them. Dead set on revenge, they kidnap Alva Jr. and hold him for ransom. With a price, Static helps Alva get his son back.

Static and Gear meet another bang baby named Nina who is going by the alias Timezone, who has the ability to time travel. Virgil wants to go back five years ago when his mother, Jean Hawkins was killed in hopes of saving her life, but Ebon wants to pursue Timezone for his own sinister goals by recreating the Big Bang on a larger scale. Virgil soon realizes that he can't change the past and he comes to terms over his mother's fate. In the present, Nina realizes that her time travel abilities are too dangerous, even in the wrong hands, she uses Gear's device to go back two years ago when she was affected by the Big Bang. Nina is able to change her fate for the better by stealing her past self's bike so she doesn't go through a similar fate. Nina is finally able to have a normal life with her friends and her family.
