Police commissioner Herville is found dead in a Chinese restaurant in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. Gilou must break the news to Laure, who is being treated in a Police rehabilitation center. Now in charge of the unit, Gilou begins investigating with Ali, a young cop, fresh out of training. They quickly find themselves on the case of a break-in gone wrong and the trail of 15-year-old Ryan, a juvenile delinquent. Roban learns he must soon retire but still manages to oversee the Herville case. Awaiting trail, Joséphine struggles with life in prison.

Gilou agrees to work with Laure again. She must find her place now that Ali and Gilou are a team. The most important thing is finding young Ryan and his gang. Edelman does everything he can to get Joséphine out of prison.

Ryan is not telling the whole story, so Roban decides to lock him up. The notes from the break-in contain traces of cannabis and the cops link it to a drug dealer in a neighboring housing estate. Meanwhile, Laure discovers that Wang was one of Herville's CIs. Joséphine gets closer to her cellmate, Lola.

On the trail of a messenger transporting dirty drug money, Laure ends up in Aubervilliers, in a discount store warehouse zone. There, the North and East Paris Regional Police Department (2nd DPJ) discovers a vast money-laundering operation. Laure, still frail, loses care of her child to Brémont. Joséphine's hearing with the judge results in her ongoing incarceration.

The 2nd DPJ tries to discover Fouad's role in the money laundering operation (Fouad is Ryan's older brother). To better understand the operation, Beckriche calls on Lebrion, his former mentor at the Financial Crime Brigade. Laure and Gilou arrest Pierre Solignac, a client who took delivery of the cash, at the risk of alerting the money-laundering network. Edelman presses for a crime reconstruction he thinks will help Joséphine.

While the money-laundering operation closes ranks and the 2nd DPJ must hand the case over to the Financial Crime Brigade, the team circumvents procedure in order to identify David Cann, a financial advisor who is implicated. Now out of prison, Joséphine works for Edelman, who introduces her to an old friend and client-David Cann.

Following the death of Fouad, the 2nd DPJ loses the case to the Criminal Brigade, headed up by Brémont. Laure suspects Lebrion has stolen a document from the Herville file when the case was being transferred. She even suspects Beckriche of betraying them. Joséphine accidentally discovers that Edelman is trying to keep her under his thumb.

Roban falls into a trap set by Joséphine and Edelman and carries out raids based on forged documents. Laure and Gilou discover that one of the members of the money-laundering operation, Oury, is romantically involved with Ryan's mother, Nadia. Beckriche shows his loyalty by revealing the lie of his mentor, Lebrion. Joséphine leaves Edelman's law firm, with Solignac as a client. Solignac offers her an office and money that will enable her to defend Lola.

Blackmailed about the forged documents, Roban can no longer pursue his investigation. Laure and Gilou give him a swift and effective helping hand. They also reactivate the dormant money-laundering operation, with an entirely illegal undercover purchasing operation. On the advice of Joséphine, Solignac reports them to Internal Affairs.

Laure and Gilou sink deeper into illegality by taking money offered by Solignac in order to pressure him, unaware that they are being followed by their former colleague, Tintin, now working for Internal Affairs. Laure and Gilou manage to sow the seeds of dissent within the money-laundering network: the brother-in-law, Oury, gets kidnapped. Joséphine tries to defend Lola, who makes it difficult because she is unwilling to talk about her past.

Under investigation by Internal Affairs, Laure and Gilou find themselves in custody but are released due to lack of evidence. Torn between his affections and his job, Tintin has trouble choosing sides. Our heroes now have proof that Cann ordered Herville killed and Wang, and kidnapped Oury.

Episode 12

Episode #7.12

Cann is on the run. In desperation, he asks Edelman for help, but Edelman has been arrested. The police raid Cann's night club, with help from Joséphine. She seems less cynical since her win at Lola's trial and decides to help Edelman. Laure and Gilou are just about to solve the case when their careers are put on the line: Internal Affairs has decided to continue their investigations.
