Episode 1

Jax's efforts to take down Clay work; he has Juice give him a gun belonging to Clay, which he then gives to Tig to kill Pope, before tipping off Roosevelt, and telling Gemma to refuse to provide an alibi. However, disgusted that Jax has dragged Tig and Juice into his personal quest against Clay, Bobby resigns as VP, and unofficially hooks up with SAMIND. In his absence, Chibs is made VP of SAMCRO, with Happy replacing him as sergeant at-arms. Tara is arrested and charged as an accomplice to murder, telling Lowen it must have been Gemma who spoke to the police so as to prevent her from leaving for Oregon. However, when Jax quizzes Gemma, she denies having anything to do with the arrest. Meanwhile, Marks informs Jax that Clay has been moved to protective custody and can't be touched. He also reiterates that Jax's deal with Pope is still in play and Tig must answer for the death of Pope's daughter. When Lyla is badly hurt shooting an S&M themed porn film, SAMCRO attempt to shut down the studio, but are forced to negotiate with Charles Barosky (Peter Weller), an ex-cop who runs organized crime in and around the port in Stockton. He later introduces Jax and Nero to Colette Jane (Kim Dickens), a madam looking to go legit. Elsewhere, Toric offers both Tara and Clay a deal, and in light of Jax's attack, Wendy decides not to pursue custody of Abel.

Toric reveals to Tara he was responsible for her arrest. When she refuses to let Jax attend her bail hearing, he sleeps with Colette. Nero is horrified to learn the school shooter was Matthew Jennings, Darvany Jennings's (Samaire Armstrong) son. Darvany is the girlfriend of Nero's cousin and Byz-Lats member, Arcadio Nerona (Dave Navarro), and Matthew carried out the shooting with Nerona's KG-9, sold to him by SAMCRO. In jail, Clay considers Toric's deal; if he turns state's evidence against SAMCRO, Toric will give him a legal team to fight the charge of murdering Pope, secure him immunity from all crimes committed whilst president of SAMCRO, and have him placed in WitSec. However, Clay refuses to deal until he sees Jax and Gemma. When Tara is released on bail, Jax assures her he's getting SAMCRO out of gun-running, and beginning to earn legit through CaraCara and Diosa Norte. Bobby pitches an idea to Quinn, formerly president of the now-defunct Nomads. Toric enlists Tyne Patterson (CCH Pounder), the DA investigating the school shooting, to help him go after SAMCRO.

In an effort to get SAMCRO out of guns, Jax proposes to Galen that SAMDINO take over as the Real IRA's distributor in California. Nero is forced to shoot Arcadio, and Jax subsequently has Juice kill Darvany so as to prevent her talking to the police. When a furious Nero asks Jax if her death was accidental, Jax assures him it was. Bobby and Quinn recruit Allesandro 'Tattoo' Montez (Jacob Vargas) and Orlin West (Douglas Bennett) from SAMRENO. Tara asks Margaret to get her a pregnancy test, and tells Lowen she wants a divorce, continuing to push for a living will which would see Wendy get custody of Abel and Thomas should Tara go to prison. After nearly compromising himself with a prostitute, Toric joins Patterson's team. Elsewhere, Jax visits Clay, Wendy is attacked at an NA meeting, and the porn producers who hurt Lyla shoot up Barosky's cafe.

Episode 4

Tara tells Gemma and Jax she's pregnant. Wendy is revealed to have been lying about the attack. Clay elects not to rat on SAMCRO, but when he arrives in gen pop he's told if he kills a member of the Aryan Brotherhood, he'll be safe from Pope's hit squad; Marks arranged the deal as a favour to Jax, who fears he may need Clay to negotiate cutting ties with the Real IRA. Jax gives Tig up to Marks, but is shocked when Tig shows up at his house the following morning. When Jax quizzes Marks as to what happened, Marks offers him a deal; if Jax gives Marks the Irish gun distribution, he will consider Tig's debt null and void. When Unser is attacked on the T-M lot, Jax fears it may be retaliation for Clay's actions in prison, and so turns to Darby, who has been out of the life for over two years, for help. Les Packer (Robert Patrick), president of SAMDINO, arrives in Charming to tell Jax the charter voted not to work with the Real IRA. Toric uses the body of the prostitute he killed to set up Nero, and continues to pressure Clay into agreeing to testify. Wendy tells Gemma that Tara is drawing up a new will and wants her to sign off on guardianship of Abel and Thomas. Chibs calls out Jax for making club decisions without going to the table. Jax tells Galen that SAMCRO won't take any more KG-9s, but Galen refuses to accept it.

Episode 5

Otto kills Toric with a shiv given to him by Clay, and is subsequently shot dead by the guards. Unser discovers Wendy is working with Tara, Lowen, and Murphy, with Wendy providing Lowen with years' worth of notes on Jax's criminal activities - all in an effort to have Jax declared an unfit parent, should anything happen to Tara. With Galen back in Northern Ireland, SAMCRO try to avoid a war by finding his right-hand man, Connor Malone (Scott Anderson), and getting in touch with the Kings. Meanwhile, Tara tells Jax she doesn't trust Gemma; Patterson recruits Roosevelt to replace Toric in her investigation into the school shooting; Barosky is unimpressed when he sees Roosevelt tailing Jax and Nero to Colette's brothel; Gemma tells Wendy she plans to get a hold of Tara's living will and show it to Jax, but with her being so friendly, Wendy starts to have doubts that she's doing the right thing with Tara; Lowen tells Tara that Toric's death could look like an organised hit and so is bad for her case; and Jax tells the Kings about Marks's offer to take over as distributor, prompting an angry Chibs to once again challenge Jax about making club decisions alone. When the Kings ask Galen's opinion about the offer, he assures them Clay is the best option and that he's already put in motion a plan to spring him from prison, at which time, they will put together a new crew, with Clay heading to Northern Ireland to run everything from Belfast.

As Nero is arrested for the murder of the prostitute, the Real IRA bomb the clubhouse and the Kings offer Jax terms - Clay will handle distribution and SAMCRO must ensure all their buyers switch to him, without any kind of percentage or referral fee. When Jax balks, Galen tells him that unless he accepts, every club charter from Charming to San Bernardino will also be bombed. Later, Jax tells Gemma to let Clay know he should accept Galen's offer. When Unser offers to help Tara, she tells him that she's going to ask Jax for a divorce and file for full custody, with Wendy getting the boys if she goes to jail. Meanwhile, at a summit of all local charters, Jax announces that the entire Sons of Anarchy association is now out of guns, not just the SAMCRO charter. He also gets some unexpected news from Bobby.

Episode 7

On Patterson's orders, Roosevelt examines Toric's room, finding the bullet holes from where he killed the prostitute. Still trying to establish a connection between Matthew Jennings and SAMCRO, Patterson offers Tara a deal; full immunity for proof of Jax's involvement in gun-running. However, when Tara refuses, a disgruntled Patterson moves the trial forward by three weeks and decides to handle prosecution herself. Venus comes looking for Nero after being assaulted, but when SAMCRO offer to help, they get much more than they expected. With the clubhouse in ruins, SAMCRO set up a new home in a property owned by Jacob. Bobby surprises Jax by telling him he plans to return to SAMCRO, bringing Quinn, Montez, and West along with him. Prospect George 'Ratboy' Skogstrom (Niko Nicotera) is also patched in. Tara signs a restraining order barring Gemma from any contact with Abel and Thomas, but for it to be legally binding, Jax must also sign. Patterson learns that Jax and Nero plan to reopen Collette's brothel as Diosa del Sur, and presses Barosky for info on SAMCRO. She also offers Nero the same deal she offered Tara; if he testifies that SAMCRO sold Arcadio the KG-9 used in the school shooting, she'll drop the murder charges.

Episode 8

Tara puts her plan into action; Wendy tells Gemma that Tara is planning to leave Jax, and has lost faith in her ability to be the boys' guardian, replacing her with Margaret. An enraged Gemma confronts Tara and Margaret in St. Thomas, publicly assaulting Margaret, and then following Tara back to her office, where Tara fakes a miscarriage, claiming Gemma kicked her in the stomach. Although the plan works, with Gemma arrested, the stress causes Wendy to seek out a fix. Horrified at the loss of their unborn child, Jax signs the restraining order. Gemma tells Roosevelt that Tara is trying to frame her, and that the pregnancy was never real. When a story leaks to the press implicating SAMCRO and the Byz-Lats in procuring the KG-9 used in the school shooting, Patterson uses the negative publicity to threaten Nero that unless he cooperates, she's going to ensure a heavy police presence in Byz-Lats territory. However, when Nero tells her he's willing to give up the source of the gun, she doesn't get what she expected. Meanwhile, the DNA tests from Toric's room confirm he killed the prostitute and Barosky tells Jax that Patterson is trying to pressure him into getting dirt on SAMCRO.

Episode 9

Patterson has Roosevelt put Jax under 24-hour surveillance, whilst Barosky's café is shut down, and Diosa del Sur fails inspection. In response, Jax makes Patterson an unexpected offer. Nero is released from prison, and Gemma tells him everything that happened with her and Tara. However, his efforts to smooth things over between the two are not met with enthusiasm by anyone, least of all Jax. A young girl, Brooke Putner (Hayley McFarland), vandalises SAMCRO's new clubhouse, with Unser explaining she may blame them for the death of her mother, who was killed in the pile-up resulting from JT's fatal crash eighteen years prior. Tara finalises preparations for her divorce but accidently lets slip to Nero that Gemma was involved in JT's death, prompting Gemma to tell Nero everything that happened in the months leading up to the accident.

Episode 10

Jax offers Patterson proof of Real IRA gun-running in California and Galen's head, in return for immunity for SAMCRO on all gun charges and a re-examination of Tara's case. He also promises her all SAMCRO violence will stop, but he needs her to stop tailing him and to let him open Diosa del Sur. Unser, Nero, and Gemma all tell Jax that Tara has been lying to him, with Gemma explaining that the pregnancy was fake and Tara wants a divorce. When Jax threatens Lowen, she confesses everything. As a result, Tara finds herself without allies - Wendy and Unser abandon her and side with Gemma, Lowen says she can no longer represent her, and fearful for her own life, Margaret leaves town. Meanwhile, Clay's trial is moved up two weeks, leaving Galen without personnel to assault the transport, telling Jax he needs SAMCRO to carry out the operation. Galen is also unhappy to learn Cacuzza is undecided about working with the Real IRA, and is considering an offer from Lin. However, when Jax goes to meet Cacuzza, both Galen and Lin turn up and things get out of hand. Wendy continues to relapse, but gets unexpected help from Gemma. Clay turns over all his assets to Gemma so she can have access to everything after he goes underground.

Episode 11

When Galen kills one of Lin's men at the gun meet with Cacuzza, and injures Lin himself, SAMCRO must try to persuade the Triad they had nothing to do with it. However, Lin's uncle, and Triad superior, Bohai (Keone Young), tells Jax the Triad want SAMCRO's gun customers, and if Jax doesn't shut down the Irish pipeline, he'll kill every one of them. Meanwhile, SAMCRO and Galen prepare to take down Clay's transport, with Jax promising Patterson she will have Galen in custody within 48 hours. Diosa del Sur opens, but when Tara catches Jax in bed with Colette, she approaches Patterson, asking for the deal Patterson had previously offered her. However, because of her pending arrangement with Jax, Patterson tells her that that deal is off the table. When Tara meets her new lawyer, she's shocked to learn the fake miscarriage could undermine her defence as it will call into question her credibility of character.

Episode 12

SAMCRO spring Clay, but Jax double-crosses the Real IRA, killing both Galen and Clay, and persuading Connor to tell the Kings they turned on one another and recommend Marks take over as distributor in California. Jax assures a worried Nero that the violence is now in SAMCRO's past, and Diosa and CaraCara are the way of the future. Realising that Jax played her, Patterson offers Tara WitSec in return for irrefutable evidence of SAMCRO's involvement in a federal crime. In possession of a bullet removed from Bobby's shoulder, which places him at the scene of the transport hijack, Tara weighs her options. When SAMCRO try to placate Bohai, he tells them he wants Connor dead. Nero's number two, Fiasco (Reynaldo Gallegos), chastises him for being too focused on Gemma and Diosa, saying that ever since SAMCRO has been in their lives, the Byz-Lats have been suffering. Meanwhile, Álvarez tells Nero that with SAMCRO pulling out of guns, the peace Jax established in Oakland between the Triad, the 9ers, and the Mayans could be at an end, with Álvarez predicting it will be black and white against brown and yellow on the street.

Episode 13

When SAMCRO and the 9ers kill Bohai and his men, Connor is able to persuade the Kings to work with Marks. A stoned Juice tells Nero that Jax ordered him to kill Darvany. When a devastated Jax discovers Tara has disappeared with the boys, he initially assumes she has gone to Patterson, but quickly realizes this isn't the case. As both SAMCRO and the law try to find her, Patterson gives Jax some advice. Álvarez brings his concerns about the situation in Oakland to Jax, telling him that the cocaine from Galindo has stopped, and coupled with Marks taking over as the Real IRA's gun distributor, that leaves both the Mayans and the Triad in a weakened position vis-à-vis the 9ers. Although Jax assures him that Marks has no interest in upsetting the balance on the street, SAMCRO soon learn Marks has decided to let the 9ers handle the Mayans and Triad gun trade. Elsewhere, Wendy goes into rehab and Clay is buried.
