Episode 1
Tue, Sep 11, 201258 mins
With Romeo and Torres revealed to be working for the CIA, who are backing Galindo in their war with Lobo Sonora, the RICO case against both SAMCRO and the Irish Kings collapses. When they reveal their CIA involvement to Jax, they tell him that unless the deal with the Kings goes through, they will greenlight RICO, and if anyone finds out who they really are, they'll destroy SAMCRO. However, because the Kings will only deal with Clay, Jax must allow him to remain a member. Before he leaves town, Potter strikes Juice's involvement in the investigation from the record, and reveals to city council that Jacob's final few investors are Asian pornographers, quashing Charming Heights. Meanwhile, SAMCRO is reorganised; Jax becomes president, with Chibs as his sergeant-at-arms. Jax offers the VP role to Opie, but Opie rejects him, unable to understand why Jax is insisting Clay remains alive and a voting member. As Jax begins to wonder who Potter had been using for intel on SAMCRO besides Otto, Bobby is released at Romeo's behest, and, to explain why, Romeo clears Jax to inform him of Romeo and Torres's CIA affiliation. With the 9ers seeking retaliation against SAMCRO for the death of Laroy's girlfriend, accidentally killed by Tig in a botched hit on Laroy, Jax asks Romeo to arrange a meeting with feared Oakland gangster Damon Pope (Harold Perrineau), to whom even the 9ers answer, and who also happens to be the dead girl's father. Gemma meets a legal pimp, Nero Padilla (Jimmy Smits), whilst Clay assures her that Jax will never find out about her involvement in JT's death from him. Meanwhile, a series of home invasions target people affiliated with SAMCRO, and three Nomads join the ranks - Frankie Diamonds (Chuck Zito), Greg the Peg (Kurt Yaeger), and Gogo (Chris Browning).

Episode 2
Tue, Sep 18, 201249 mins
Much to Jax's shock, Clay confesses to SAMCRO that he killed Piney, but lies about the circumstances, saying it was self-defence during an argument about working with Galindo. He also tells them it was Opie who shot him, much to Tig's horror, who now realises how ill-advised his attempt to kill Laroy really was. To demonstrate his willingness to go to extremes, Pope has Laroy murdered and dismembered, with Tyler Yost (Mo McRae) reluctantly taking over as leader of the 9ers, under instructions from Pope's right-hand man August Marks (Billy Brown) that the feud with SAMCRO is over. However, witnesses suddenly identify Jax, Chibs, and Tig for the death of Pope's daughter and the subsequent shootout during the chase from Oakland, forcing Jax and Chibs into hiding at Nero's brothel, Diosa, until they can secure protection for when they go behind bars. Pope also forces Tig to watch as Dawn is burnt alive. As Gemma's relationship with Tara continues to deteriorate, Unser is injured in a home invasion of Gemma's house. When Jax asks Lowen how to kill the RICO case hanging over SAMCRO's head, she tells them they need to prove Otto's testimony against Bobby was false, but they also need to find out who gave Potter information on current activity. Meanwhile, Jax tells Tara he wants to get married before he gives himself up, Clay tries to talk Opie into staying in SAMCRO, and Bobby is made VP.

Jax and Tara are married at Diosa. Jax is able to secure protection from Romeo and Torres before he, Chibs, and Tig turn themselves in. As they do, Opie purposely gets himself arrested so he can join them behind bars. Frankie, Gogo, and Greg are revealed to be behind the home invasions. In prison, Pope arranges to speak to Jax privately, telling him that if he gets 50% of their earnings for muling for Galindo, if Tig remains in prison for the rest of his life, and if one of the remaining three imprisoned Sons dies, the witnesses will recant their testimony. However, Jax must choose which of the three will die; himself, Chibs, or Opie. Meanwhile, Jax confesses everything to Opie; the real reason Clay killed Piney, the letters in which JT predicted Clay would murder him, the pending RICO case, Romeo and Torres's CIA ties, and the Irish Kings' refusal to deal with anyone but Clay, and as it's only the deal between the Kings and Galindo that's preventing the RICO case from progressing, Jax had no option but to keep him alive and keep him in SAMCRO. On the outside, when Gemma goes to see Abel and Thomas at day-care, she gets a nasty surprise, leading to another confrontation between herself and Tara. In prison, Otto has Tara bring him a crucifix, and uses it to murder a nurse, meaning his RICO testimony can't be used, as federal murder charges supersede his reliability for RICO.
