Episode 1
Mon, Sep 8, 198623 mins
In the year 2839, the once powerful mobster Mon*Star is isolated in his cell within a prison planet. He can transform into a more powerful armored form, but needs the red light of Limbo's Moon*Star to do so. His guards try to prevent him from ever seeing that light. One day, the star seemingly erupts and Mon*Star is bathed in its light. He transforms and breaks through the prison's wall with his bare hands. While floating in space, Mon*Star is confronted by the giant squid Sky-Runner which he used to own. It does not remember him, and proceeds to attack its former owner. After a brief fight, Mon*Star tames the beast and flies away. Shortly later, he manages to break several prisoners out of prisons. They have unique powers and skills, and they form the latest incarnation of Limbo's Mob under Mon*Star's command. Commander Stargazer, Mon*Star's archenemy, requests reinforcements from Earth to face the threat. In Earth, a professor and his female assistant transform a group of volunteers into the Silverhawks: flesh-and-blood beings given new metallic bodies and enhanced weapons. The new team soon has to prove its skills in a combat exercise against a combat drone. They manage to evade its attacks, and to damage the drone until it explodes. The story ends while the team prepares to be transported to the galaxy of Limbo in order to face the Mob.
