By digging out these forgotten diary pages, they began an incredible journey inside the mind of this extraordinary 19th-century adventurer. Was Livingstone the hero he's made out to be? The original pages of his last field diary contain a secret, hidden until now. Scrawled over an old copy of The Standard newspaper in an 'ink' made of berry juice, the words are faded and illegible. No one has been able to read these words since Livingstone's death 140 years ago. Now, state-of-the-art multi-spectral imaging technology can help us see the invisible. And the pages reveal Livingstone witnessed a shocking massacre in an African slave-trading village. Is it possible that Livingstone, a crusader for the abolition of slavery, worked with slaves?

The Lost Gardens of Babylon follows Dr. Stephanie Dalley as she hunts to find the location of one of the ancient wonders of the world. Until now; no one has been able to find a trace of the spectacular gardens. Dalley will use ancient cuneiform texts and declassified spy satellite images to uncover evidence that supports her theory that the gardens were built 100 years before is commonly believed. Her search takes her to one of the most dangerous places on earth¬-Iraq which was plagued with violence during her trip there but may just be the home of the garden. Along the way; she visits the remains of a vast and complex canal system that may have provided water to the gardens and learns about highly skilled feats of engineering used hundreds of years before it is thought the Romans invented them. It's a modern-day adventure story about the search to find a site thousands of years old.

With the 2013 discovery of Richard III's body, a team of experts investigate: Could the slight, English King who had severe scoliosis, been the feared warrior depicted in contemporary accounts ? For an answer, scientists employ a war re-enactor, who happens to have a similar build and medical condition. Dominic Smee is outfitted with 15th Century armor and sword, then trained on medieval horseback combat. Richard was the last British monarch killed on a battlefield. His 1485 defeat at Bosworth Field, marked the end of the Plantagenet Dynasty and the Middle Ages in England, plus the beginning of Tudor reign. Or was Richard the cowardly villain portrayed by Shakespeare, as killing his nephews as children, to become King ?
