Episode 1

The Genetic Code

What secrets did the Nazis hope to find inside the cells and DNA of the human body? Some of the most nauseating Nazi experiments and activities were performed in the name of creating a pure Aryan race. Liebensraum breeding programs and bunk studies in heredity helped to justify mass sterilizations and genocide. In concentration camps, twisted experiments like Josef Mengele's twin studies masquerade as science and justify all manner of Nazi horrors.

Episode 2

Wings of Doom

WWII was a war in the skies -- and the Nazis pushed the limits of what was possible. The Messerschmitt 262 Schwalbe became the world's first jet engine-powered fighter. Nazi engineers pioneer liquid and rocket-powered aircraft, adding to a list of world firsts. How do the Nazis lose sight of the goal with their forays into early helicopters? Although the Nazis can't roll out technology fast enough to meet the challenges in the sky, what did they understand about flight that nobody else did?

Episode 3

Evil Chemistry

Adolf Hitler was famously against using chemical weapons on the battlefield but chemistry and biological sciences still played a role in the Nazi's unquenchable quest for power. Nazis turned pesticide research on its head with tabun and sarin, used in one of the greatest genocides in human history. What would have happened had the Nazis rolled out their new nerve angels? And though Nazi entomologists worked to prevent the spread of malaria, the same research is also mobilized for darker purposes. As the Allies close in, top Nazi brass are given a final escape hatch -- a cyanide capsule to help them evade capture.

Raining Death

What would it take to bomb the Allies into the ground? This was the question on the minds of top Nazi brass as they mobilized Germany's top scientists to create frightening new bombs. It was a history of firsts - from the Fritz X, the world's first precision guided weapon deployed during combat, through the iterations of V1 and V2 bombs that rained down during the Blitz. What horrifying weapons, like the V-3, were never unleashed? With Hitler's sights set on bombing America, how close did the world come to widespread annihilation?

Episode 5

The Future Aryan Soldier

Far from the front lines, Nazi scientists were tasked with creating the perfect Aryan soldier for the Thousand Year Reich. From mundane questions of survival to creating a stronger and better fighter, the Nazis used science to study the human constitution and its limits. Propaganda indoctrinated the masses and the Hitler Youth trained children for later service. Experiments with methamphetamines, cocaine, and other stimulants aspired to create a soldier who wouldn't need sleep.. Gruesome hypothermia and altitude experiments conducted on inmates at Dachau figured out how to bring soldiers back from the brink of death. What did Hitler and the Nazis envision for future soldiers with no limits?

Episode 6

Bending the Elements

In the early days of WWII, the Royal Air Force assumed that the bomber would always get through - so then how were the Germans picking off bombers with incredible efficiency? German radar stations and systems sprung up along coastlines, harnessing the power of frequencies to help them plot their next move. A bevy of early systems like the Wurzburg and Freya were advanced for their time. The Knickebein, X-Gerat, and Y-Gerat Systems helped bombers navigate during dangerous bombing raids. To secure important weather data, the Nazis sent out ships and erected remote weather stations. Did they also gather weather data from the tolling of Big Ben on the BBC? And were the Nazis working to harness the power of the Sun itself with a space-age Sun Gun?

Episode 7

Reshaping Nature

Blood and soil. For the Nazis, it wasn't just a metaphor. The Nazis would go to any lengths to bend the natural world to their whims. Nazi archaeologists set to work using archaeological finds to assert an ancient Aryan race. Some of Europe's first nature preserves and bio-dynamic farms were created to provide Lebensraum for the Thousand Year Reich. Violent culls of flora, fauna -- not to mention human life -- strove to "recreate" idyllic Germanic forests. Strange experiments in back-breeding claimed to bring creatures like aurochs back from extinction. What vision of the natural world did Nazis hold for the future? And how did they use science to try to create the world in their image?

Episode 8

The Nazi Empire

The triumphal architecture of the Nazi regime hints at a deeply dystopian future. Enormous amphitheatres are built, inspired by the Greek ideal, while the oversized Nuremberg Rally Grounds and Olympic Stadium mirror the Roman Colosseum. Meanwhile, Nazi dreams of an ideal city start to take shape. Hulking Schwerbelastungkorper -- literally, "heavy load-bearing bodies" -- test out solid ground in Berlin. Neighbourhoods are slated for demolition. The ideal Aryan city in Linz is designed with temples of art and culture, looted from the downtrodden. Strange futuristic buildings Prora embody the Nazi concept of Strength Through Joy. What might a Nazi city -- and world -- have looked like, had Hitler succeeded in vanquishing his enemies?
