Forever War

Just as even heroic giant veteran Jason gets desperate, cut-off without proper cover down an Afghan gorge, with badly wounded Cerberus in his arms, the rest of the team arrives to return him to safety. Finally they get a clue to terrorist leader Al-Hazred junior's tunnel system hide-out and enter it, Sonny does some redeeming by pretending his training enables him to do the bomb squad's job, actually just risking his life or the team and the mission. They even find him, but Clay must fatally shoot him as he tries to commit suicide and drag them along to hell by pressure plat bomb. The team can return home covered in even more glory, except on the flight back the news arrives that the Pentagon ordered NCIS to find the military mole who leaked to the press about the Yemen ambassador's cynical fate, albeit it's true and only the family was informed, they went to the press.

The New Normal

Ray is elated to be admitted to warrant officer school. Clay tells captain Lidell he was the leak to the press, although he didn't expect the ambassador's family to go public, hence is denied promotion options and reduced to a desk job 'for now', his DC girlfriend despises his honesty. Ray is stunned, being the real culprit, but even if Clay comes clean, that would only get both disciplined, so keeps quiet. Jason finds returning to an empty home hard, despite having adopted Cerberus, who ,is deemed no longer fit for duty after three years and finally applies to pass on Bravo command and joins HQ, but clearly misses field works and his mates. The team no longer performs properly under Michael 'Thirty Mike' Chen's command, allowing Lidell to suspend it from operations 'till it vastly improves'.

Shockwave

Everyone in the team still wrestles with the changes, performances remaining substandard under Thirty, so Bravo remains barred from missions. On his WO graduation, Ray was instantly assigned to a mission in Tunisia with a CIA agent, investigating he strictly national Ansar Al-Masar Jihadists there, but a building where they have a meeting is blown up and he's missing, indeed abducted for torture and possible trade. Captain Lidell still ordered Jason to concentrate on logistic matters, not Bravo, but now his expertise is relevant, so he gets to reunite his men, who were redistributed among the sister teams, and even frustrated desk jockey Clay, as the core of an expedition force to rescue Ray, a first for the SEALs., albeit without prospects afterward.

The Carrot or the Stick

Reunited under Jason and reinforced from other teams, the SEALs pull all the stops to find and liberate Ray. The Jihahist hide-out is located, where Ray is able to wriggle out of his cuffs and neutralize some captors, but fails to avoid recapture so he can be located while his mates overrun it, just too late.

The inadvertent lead Clay got from Farraj, that Ray is aboard a ship, enables Davis to deduce the freighter on its way to Syria. Aboard, having seen Zied decapitated in what he expected to be 'mere' fake executions, Ray now promises to be important and valuable, but his tormentors torture even worse and seem to want a scripted 'confession' at all cost. During a hopeless escape attempt, he managed to steal a smartphone and despite the near-empty battery it suffices to enable Davis to track him down. By then the ship has docked in a Russian-guarded military port. As it's no longer a rescue at sea but in enemy territory, lieutenant commander Eric Blackburn is forced to rein in Bravo's eager till he gets clearance from the Pentagon, given the diplomatic risks. Ray is rescued in a bloody raid last minute, already badly injured.

All In

Physically everyone is healed after Syria, even Ray, but the mental ordeal is prolonged by endless debriefings. Bravo can barely concentrate on its next job in Ecuador, as they all ponder the future after all changes, which even Sonny seems to resign to, accepting Thirty's authority. Clay happily grows into his new, bigger role, telling his ex Stella he accepts to have no shot at an officers or political career and is single again, but although back in Virginia, she has a steady other. Jason stews in HQ, dealing with obnoxious Lidell constantly telling him off, feeling the kids are virtually out of his life, and when doc Natalie accepts moving to a promotion in California, it's he last straw: he demands the Bravo One post back, his only dream job.

Resuming his post as Bravo One, Jason speaks for the team, which already doubts the use of rigorous diving training when a return to Afghanistan is expected, when he opposes weeks of mandatory online training, which lieutenant Soto sticks to with the expressed purpose to reduce the 'dependency on one man': Jason. Clay assures Stella following his passion, Bravo as for Jace, is no career sacrifice, but admits the team isn't the same, despite his efforts to smooth friction between old dog Jason and fresh warrant officer Ray, who speeds up the next mission to Jordan, where he stumbles upon the trace of his Jihadist torturer, now identified as Algerian Yassine 'Raqqa Jacques' Kassen. Sonny is generally insecure, hesitating whom to tell what about his Texan youth love expecting his baby.

Reckoning

Ray and CIA partner Mina Hassan take Bravo on a mission from Jordan into Syria to prevent Iranian drones being made available for Jihadists. Ray confided into Davis that among the target is his torturer Yassine 'Raqqa Jacques' Kassen and swears her to secrecy, but she informs Jason, also about Ray having chosen to speed up the mission. This further fuels the cockfight between Ray, who even retreats from the brotherly drinking evening, and formally outranked Jason, who still expects full operational control. Ray is furious when Jason .decides to risk compromising the mission to get hold of Kassen, as there may be no second shot, resulting in the actual mission becoming a partial failure despite braving enemy fire.

Jason's career and freedom hang in the balance when Command accuses him of committing a horrific crime during a mission. With Bravo under a no-contact order, Jason must fight this battle without his brothers.

All Bravo worries as they are all sort of on trial now Jason is court-martial for the Jordanian 'murder' of an armed jihadist. Clay is coldly reminded of the no contact-rule when he asks Ray about his immunity as witness for the prosecution, while Stella -who moves in- deals well with it, unlike Neima, who nearly cries treason over not being told the victim was his tortured Raqqa Jacques. Jason is pessimistic, even about colleagues' loyalties, while daughter Emma Hayes gathers character testimonies from (former) team-members and Davis comes up with promising evidence, although the judge tends to rule in favor of the JAG prosecutor, lieutenant commander Flores, who keeps painting Jace as a ruthless vindictive killer. Lidell's, Ray's and Jason's own truthful testimonies decide the case.

Rearview Mirror

After his court martial victory, Jason visits former teammate Theo Papadakis, whose testimony helped clear him, to thank him and offer Cerberus as canine aid to the man who is who has a prosthetic limb since a mine in Afghanistan; Jace is told without hostility or reproach his efficient leadership didn't include empathy to notice his boys' mental needs. Ray is getting synced with CIA agent Mina Hassan but wife Naima can't handle his secrecy and claims he makes the kids feel insecure, so he sleeps at the base till Clay insists he move in with him. Lieutenant Wes Soto insists on coming along on missions to 'fine-tune' the team, less dependent on Jason, who objects to 'changing my winning team', starting on a mission based on a USNavy ship to operate in Sahel countries without local government blessing, notably to strike at Boko Haran's Jihadist terror.

Bravo is tasked with bringing a defecting Boko Haram lieutenant into US custody, but the mission goes sideways when the target gets attacked. Sonny drops the ball as Bravo's rep on the USS Keating, and the entire team pays the price.

Hollow at the Core

Team Bravo is almost going crazy, cooped-up aboard a warship with its captain restraining communications, fearing a foreign submarine spying on them. Theer's only so much even Clay can cover up for drunk Sonny, who stumbles in so drunk, he wounds his head bloodily so lazy lieutenant Soto notices and questions Jace, who worries Ray didn't know either. Their CIA-mission is to infiltrate a Boko Haran camp by water supply truck, to physically hack their jihadist server; still they decide themselves to split up so they can liberate an American NGO worker, and loose time recording data of local prisoners, so the have to fight off a tech patrol on their way out, just when the ship has cut off communications, having seen the spy sub is Chinese.

Nightmare of My Choice

Bravo grumbles that Alpha 'harvests the fruits of their mission' by joining a new mission, to stop a Boko Haran attack on crucial oil pipelines, small-scale along nearly useless Nigerian troops, but their help proves more than needed given the outnumbering. Despite fine tactical operating, Metal is badly wounded by a man-launched rocket, so Clay and Jace stay with him and perform extended first aid in the evacuation helicopter. Meanwhile Ray is left in command, but still suffers from tormenting memory flashes causing him to freeze, even in action, and better equipment suggest a powerful enemy of the West is getting involved.
