Episode 1
Ben visits Arran and Holy Isle, a haven for different cultures, where he makes Jewish challah bread and checks out a Buddhist Peace Centre.
Episode 2
Ben takes a tiny passenger ferry from mainland Argyll down the length of Loch Sween to arrive on Islay, an island famed for its whisky. Though it has more distilleries than churches, its links to Christianity are ancient.
Episode 3
Ben Fogle crosses the infamously wild Pentland Firth in blessedly calm conditions and heads for the Orkney Isles. Orkney has its own distinct Norse Christian saint, Magnus, and Ben meets with Dr Sarah Jane Gibbon at Aikerness Bay to learn about him.
Episode 4
In the final leg of his journey, Ben drives to his destination instead of sailing. He travels to the Isle of Skye to explore its spiritual heritage and find out what endures today in the face of so many visitors journeying to the island.
