Episode 1
Michael Comes to Camp

Camp Anawanna's newest arrival, Michael, quickly perceives that the real one in charge isn't the heard-but-never-seen camp director Dr. Kahn, or his ineffectual councilor Kevin "Ug" Lee, but a bullying fellow camper named Bobby. Among the girls drawn towards Michael, Michael shares the greatest affinity with baseball pitcher Telly, and the two hit it off. Envious of Michael's good looks and athletic ease, Bobby aims to get this newcomer in trouble by forcing him to raid the girls' cabin. In the course of it, Michael breaks Telly's glasses. Bobby readies to "help" Michael out by viciously casting the blame on another, innocent camper (Henry Laster as Kent Flankman), but as he and henchman Donkeylips prepare to inflict the dreaded "Awful Waffle," Michael shows integrity by confessing to the deed and taking full blame, come what may. Henry Laster is forever known as the "Awful Waffle Kid" as he almost got the awful waffle that day.

Zeke the Plumber

Bobby's tale of Zeke the Custodian, a long-dead nose-less specter who haunts Anawanna, haunts campers, who dread his return with his accursed plunger used to suck embarrassing secrets out of their heads. Disturbed by nightmares, Michael and Dina challenge Bobby to prove his fearlessness by spending the night on the very spot where Zeke died. This, they think, will be everyone's chance to get back at Bobby for all his bullying, but ever-wary Bobby not only anticipates their coming but lays in wait with a booby trapped forest.

The Treasure of Sara Madre

An in memoriam for fallen teacher Sara Madre (long deceased) turns into dreams of avarice when an accident reveals a map leading to her hidden wealth. Being that she was a dancer, the map indicates the location via a series of dance moves. Bobby sells copies, reaping substantial benefits as friend sets upon friend, all seeking to discover treasure. Unfortunately, it's all a scam set up by Bobby, but when Sara's hat turns up among the kids' unearthed trash, he believes they've come close to actually finding her missing treasure. As he and cohort Donkeylips take over the hunt, two-stepping becomes two-timing as neither partner trusts the other. Meanwhile, impending photographs for a new camp brochure has Ug focused entirely on grooming the camp to perfection.

Brownies for Thud Mackie

Thuggish camper Thud Mackie is a most intimidating fellow. When Michael accidentally destroys Thud's brownie supply, Thud allows five days for its restoration - or else. Interrupting Michael's video plea to home, Bobby points out that grandparents are a softer touch. Still, the brownie plan fails, so Bobby personally directs Michael's next homeward plea to get him removed from camp before Thud's deadline and beating, depicting the camp in an atrocious state. Meanwhile, self-proclaimed "plant expert" Ug misidentifies poison sumac to his rash-covered regret.

To skip Instructional Swim, Bobby guides Michael in concocting artificial barf. The two then hurl onto Ug's boots to convince him of their sickness - but the jokes on them as Ug drives his other swimmers to the beach, leaving the chagrined fakers behind. Stuck in the Nurse's Station with each other for company, along with a locked refrigerator full of ice cream, childish toys, and a troublesome TV that only receives a black-and-white cowboy movie in Spanish, the two have a memorable, if somewhat miserable, day of getting to know each other. Ug, meanwhile, has a day he'd like to forget.
