Episode 1
Fifteen years ago, young "Elsie" is abandoned at a diner with only a guitar by her father. She ends up in the foster care system moving from house to house and grows into a troubled teen. With only a year left before edging out of the system, she moves to her last foster home.. During a tantrum she is told by her foster guardian her father is alive and is in prison, so she goes to see him. He tells her that her mother is dead of cancer and that the guitar was her mother's. Then there is "Harper", a woman who volunteers at the "Jane Doe Archives" to identify discovered Jane Doe bodies to their missing person;s reports by investigating the cases thoroughly. She embarks on a new "Cherry Falls" Jane doe case but is met with resentment from the police. She goes to investigate Cherry falls site where the body was discovered and finds a skull hidden in a tree trunk. How Elsie and Harper paths cross is revealed in episode two.
