Luckily Boris needs to swallow his pride as Marissa Caseras will only be treated on his estate if Hank moves back in. Evan worries increasingly as his ever-traveling girlfriend Paige even his misses his latest welcome back party without canceling timely. Dviya remained all summer, but is now tricked by her parents to meet ex-groom Raj and his parents again and walks out stupidly. Jill's volunteer work oversees inspired her.

Evan devotes himself to occupying and cheering up depressed Divya, who discovers her filthy-rich parents cut her off, effectively leaving the socialite broke and homeless. Before Jill leaves, she takes Hank to the annual fund-raising football game. The cycling star and host, champion Ken 'Killer' Keller, who knows him from college competition, asked Hank to treat his workaholic gardener Jono, but also recruits him as player and is diagnosed twice with serious risks, yet stubbornly resists timely treatment. the brothers regret father only accepts gift baskets, no visit. Evan is delighted when his lover Paige offers herself as HankMed's publicist, only to cancel for a medical reason she decides against telling even Hank.

Hank and Evan rush to father Eddie's Florida prison for the parole hearing he never told them about, having missed the deadline as they failed to read the official invitation from the Justice Department. They find him already out of the almost luxurious prison, having been awarded conditional leave to bus tables with his jail buddy, gentleman hacker Shaw Morgan. To the brothers' astonishment, Eddie's sponsor is their presumed-dead paternal grandfather, grumpy Ted Roth, whose name was shrunk to "R" when Eddie adopted it as his and their surname Lawson. Shaw is acting atypically out of control; Hank must diagnose why and find the crooks' duo on the run before irreversible damage is done.

Still in Florida for father Eddie's parole hearing, the brothers fear that his chances are slim when his official sponsor, their filthy-rich grandfather Ted Roth, comes aboard. Evan especially bonds easily with the amused fellow-businessman, who generously treats him to dinner and the horse-track. The brothers still help Eddie with his mate Shaw, who is desperate to see his daughter, but Ted demands that Eddie stick to his parole conditions instead or he'll withdraw his crucial parole sponsor support. Boris is almost inseparable from Marisa and their baby, yet discreetly discovers that his car fleet was used to crash into Jill's car.

Finally fully supportive of Evan's proposal to Paige, Hank hands over his mother's ring, but the enthusiastic bride-to-be won't keep it until he has asked her father, the hostile general, for her hand, pretending that comes first. It's a steamy challenge in a sauna, and Paige feels that it failed as Evan agrees to wait "until after the elections". Raj finds broke Divya unable to pay the damages his parents demand to repay their canceled wedding. Elsewhere, Hank improvises, assisted by Divya, by treating a difficult farm-workaholic patient: Libby's mother.

Evan'w marketing efforts are paying off, but when he claims being close to landing a national talk show appearance, hank promises to attend, convinced it's impossible, and even accepts Jill's offer to fake it. Tireless and expensive near-stalking finally works on host Matt Lauer, so the prank tables are turned, only to backfire due to Hank's public speaking stage fright. Hank treats a brilliant, alas not so therapy-cooperative illusionist 'to order' for burns, anxiety and the underlying condition. Jill helps Divya cover up for the brothers her second job in hospital to pay her debts. Dr. Paul Van Dyke handles her hospital code-contrary self-righteous, yet medically productive initiative better then Divya and critical Jill could hope for. Boris dismisses Jill(s recollection of German words suggesting someone else was the crash target as probably therapy-related.

Evan supports Paige's artistic ambition, so when she shyly lets the date pass to enter work in an anonymous exposition including starters and established artist, he insists to have her entered. Hank is amused to find that her sold work is actually a nude for which Evan posed recently. Hank examines Boris, who hides from Marissa his symptoms to make sure she goes into hiding with baby Carlos, as he fears they're targets of his ruthless relatives. Hank finds just in time Boris's erratic symptoms don't amount to early generic degeneration but poisoning. Evan isn't rewarded but ignored after Paige attracts Manhattan top gallery owner Kasabian's attention. Hank also treats a marathon champion he bumped into jogging on the beach for presumed anemia.

Evan is almost as furious at Hank for keeping quiet about a patient's medical need as campaigning general William Collins is at Hank for not consulting him to refer Paige's ever-depressive mother Ellen to psychiatric professionals after a suicide attempt on the beach. Dr. Paul Van Dyke cheerfully takes Divya on a playful party date but finds her a reserved party pooper, yet concludes a 'modern dating practice' pact. Hank enjoys two new patients: angelic Simon Field, obsessed like the Lawson brothers with a superhero played by his father but wrestling with countless anxieties, and his devoted nanny; and Toby Thompson, whose medical condition is really dangerous.

Evan proves himself a valuable natural in father-in-law-to-be general Collins' senatorial campaign as greeter at a Navy veterans event. Hank deals with art dealer Eric Kasabian's strange fainting spells and fear of going blind. Hank finally acknowledges his constant disrespect so far for Evan's expert business input in HankMed and duly apologizes. After Paige forces her father to let mother Ellen try the electro-shock treatment recommended by Hank, both families make up.

Evan is delighted when the general finally gives his blessing to wed Paige, impressed with his campaign help, but compromises that trust by demanding the promised family quality time. Eric Kasabian considers suing the hospital for a potentially fatal drug error, actually committed by Divya, whose resignation is therefore accepted by Jill, who gets off the hook thanks to Hank's open discussion with the patient he saved. Hank also diagnoses party planner Lucy Walker, whose own part in an elaborately prepared grand divorce celebration is compromised by sudden fainting.

Evan, Paige, and her beloved dogs greatly enjoy a foretaste of newlywed home life in the general's absence, but he gets terrible hives, which he hides from her, fearing it's wedding stress. Evan also enjoys the VIP passes Hank gets for diagnosing a band whose members collapse one by one from a mystery syndrome. Hank enjoys free golf lessons from pro and checkup patient Jack O'Malley, but must bring him a scary diagnosis. Divya is back full-time at HankMed, but wisely kept short.

Hank's pathetic attempts to keep working with back-pain without painkiller are doomed from the start. Evan ceases the opportunity to test Hankmed's contingency plan: a loco, and due to unclear instructions, Evan gets to select Dr. Paul Van Dyke. Despite his disappointment not to be closely collaborating with Divya, he proves a commercial genius compared to Hank, a natural at recruiting regular clients. However Paul's refusal to accommodate crazy expectations, like from Ms. Newberg, whose phantom pains can't be tested, make Evan reassess the HankMed unique selling proposition. Hank meanwhile concentrates on counseling advanced lupus-diagnoses golf pro Jack O'Malley, who is inclined to participate in immunology specialist Nina Greene's double-blind drug experiment. Divya hopes to settle her debts by auctioning collector china, but it gets stolen by parking valet Floyd, who has a terrible accident while chased by her and Jill.

Eccentric pro actor Quince accepted to guest-star in the Hamptons' annual amateur production, now Shakespeare's Midsumernights Dream, but Hank soon finds his bellyache symptomatic of a serious syndrome. Evan, who enjoyed a tiny pixie part but worried about Paige being offered a two month set painter job in Stratford on Avon, is suddenly promoted instant stand-in. Dr. Paul Van Dyke eagerly accompanies initially unwilling Divya, whose ex Raj attends with his new lover, thanking her for turning down the arranged wedding with him. Hank learns that Jock's lupus worsens very fast.

Luke's observations enable Hank to diagnose and quickly treat his employer, surf instructor Quincy. Evan overhears Rajan discuss Divya's payments, finds out that it's her debt to his parents for canceling their wedding and finds an elegant way to help without sacrificing her pride. Boris mistrusts his French-Swiss cousin Claudette's self-invited appearance at his son's christening, where Boris has asked Hank to be the godfather. She asks Evan to deliver a mysterious package to Boris to show that she supports him, unlike traitor Dieter. Jack spends the day sea-fishing with Jill, but pays an unexpectedly high price for ignoring doctor's advice.

Episode 16

Boris hesitates whether to invest in his cousin Claudette's medical technology gadgets project, so he asks eager Evan and cautious Hank, distracted by Jack's demise, as test clients. Evan happily makes up with Paul and gets great test results with Divya, but Hank scolds him for "patient abuse"; Hank is recalled to three rascal brothers whose old-fashioned clueless grandmother can't dissuade them from trying out crazy jackass stunts to post on YouTube. When Evan pulls rank, as Divya's shares give him a majority, control-freak Hank bluntly pulls out of HankMed.
