Evan is dead-set on proving, after 20 years, that fraudster father Eddie R. Lawson--however unreliable a crooked parent--will come through with returning his sons' savings. Divya makes him consider that misplaced loyalty in him isn't worth risking all too perfect Hank's loyalty. Meanwhile, Divya secures HankMed a new celebrity client: Spencer Fisher, the king of spastic commercials, who keeps getting himself stuck embarrassingly in the grand manor inherited from his brilliant but eccentric inventor father, while specifically trying to demolish his dad's "panic room". Supplies from it are donated to the hospital, where Jill is under attack from a selfish doctor on the board, who wants to dump Jill as an administrator, believing that her only priorities are patient care and Hank. Boris' trust in Hank is stretched to the very limit when his still-neglected medical history is "misplaced", but Hank promises to be what no previous specialist could: his medical quarterback.

Hank tries to warn the widow Newberg about Eddie, but she already knows about his financial scam record. Though angered with Hank, Eddie refuses to give up his second chance with still willing-to-forgive Evan. Hank is expected to supervise Cuban researcher Dr. Marisa Casseras' experimental-drug-test protocol and test Boris but finds Boris too eager to follow cautious advice, leading Hank to withdraw indignantly. Back home, Divya is not impressed with Dr. Emily Peck, the temp concierge doctor Boris hired: she's a whiz on paper but a commercial anti-Hank.
