8 Episodes 2023 - 2023
Episode 1
Fri, Apr 21, 2023
Noah Wolfson returns from London to his native Antwerp with his and his late wife's doting kid son Tommy McCabe. They attend the Jewish funeral of his brother Yanki, who committed suicide in heavy debt. His elder brother Eli blames Noah for having abandoned the family diamond business, which is going down the drain. Noah works out Yanki had crushing gambling debts with an Albanian mob, 'handles' them with goons and intended to return to the UK after scolding the family, which he left precisely because his patriarch father expected to run all their lives, but reconsiders, admitting he abandoned them almost like none helped Yanki.

Episode 2
Noah learns the family is in even bigger trouble, as the Wolfson firm is unable to pay for diamonds they bought worth 1,5 million Euros. Eli refuses to come clean to the retired patriarch whom he succeeded as CEO, but the diamond arbitration council rules in favor of the claimant, only granting two weeks delay. Eli tries to blackmail Fogel by setting up his kid son at Hebrew school, but that backfires. Noah goes after Dubai-connected broker Bujar thug-style, but thus stirs a hornet's nest, yielding a bombing. Tommy's grandmother Kerra McCabe arrives, meets the family and demands Noah returns to help solve business problems in London, but he gets her to use crucial financial contacts, yet decides against leaving. Belgian justice works out the Albanian mob is laundering its profits with diamonds, including Yaki's Dhubai deal.

Episode 3
Noah grudgingly goes with Tommy's grandmother Kerra McCabe, who demands he rapidly returns to their UK interests, to dodgy private banker Matthias Dumont, who insists in his posh estate to add great wining and dining to the deal with the Albanian mob, who advance the 1,5 million so Eli can pay Fogel but only if Wolfson agrees to another 5 million laundering chapter. Eli's stupid school blackmail stunt backfires as Fogel now refuses further deals, even paid in full. Yaki's widow consults a reputed Jewish matchmaker and swallows her objections to a much older, francophone candidate, denying Noah the right to care 'as he didn't the previous 15 years'. Only Indian trader Sanchetti is willing to forget about due doubts about the rickety firm when Adina promises him the Wolfson votes, enough to allow him to topple the Jewish incumbent as president of the diamond exchange. They hoped to keep that 'treason' from patriarch Ezra Wolfson, but he insists, after introducing Tommy to volunteering for the foundation, to attend its charity opera gala, hears about the scandal and suffers a dangerous cardiac attack. At his sickbed, he and Noah exchange mutual regrets of failing each-other and the family, vowing to do what they can to make up. Justice blackmails Eli to turn informant on the Albanians.

Episode 4
After the patriarch's well-attended funeral, firstborn Eli plots, as cued by right hand Benny Feldman, to have mother assign full control of the Wolfson firm solely to him, as a way to convince major diamond cutter Menahem Rosenborg to buy 49% of the firm, but passed-over siblings Noah and Adina find out the small print assigns 5%, hence the decisive vote, to Benny, so the shares are split equally three-ways. Belgian justice awarded Eli only one last day of mourning reprieve before summoning him as informer on the Albanian mob. To Noah's horror, Kerra wants him to stay a while but only to personally supervise new drug shipments to London, a logistical nightmare when a ship falls through, which he can only solve by abusing a hearse, through Adina, who is disgusted to find out how he scored a diamond contract, and can't refuse the next one, again involving private banker Matthias Dumont. Meanwhile Tommy needs to return home but must play with Orthodox cousins who aren't even allowed the movies, except now aunt Gila takes them instead to the picture Noah promised.
Episode 5
Now Wolfson has a diamond cutter partner, the firm needs a major new supplier, but their reputation is badly tarnished. At the annual diamond exchange gala week, Noah is pushed by Alina to represent them to approach the Brazilian delegation, but the president only agrees to add him to the officially closed list of guest when bribed. Noah gets a private appointment by introducing the ministerial special counselor Geraldo Franco. However the Albanian mob insists he must take along private banker Matthias Dumont in order to be exempted from further money laundering deals, but can't go through at the last moment, having bonded with the counselor, a mortal sin in Kerrra's eyes. Gila got a perfect offer on paper from a relatively young, open-minded New York Jew, but refuses to move, unable to forget Noah, while her kids and Tommy grow closer. Eli is forced to meet the justice official for real, explain about the 'private financial services' and go deposit 50,000 Euros wearing a camera, even gets pushed to commit entrapment, which is illegal, while the Justice brass disapproves even of stirring the well-connected diamond branch.

Episode 6
Eli refuses to continue as crown witness, compromising his immunity claim. He convinced mother mother to make him heir of the controlling share in the company, but Noah and Adina finds out and convince her to split the shares evenly, in a desperate bid to restore family solidarity. Being denied their Brazilian contact, the Albanians demand more illegal operations. Gila turns down the New York 'dream match', in love with Noah. Having nothing but enemies, as even mother in law Kerra McCabe now considers him disloyal, Noah duly fears trouble at Eli's daughter's wedding.

The impending Rosh Hoshanah is ideal, as all Jewish firs will be deserted for their New Year, where Eli presides after more social pressure to follow in his late father's footsteps. Professional robber Guillaume is hired, who only accepts as a personal favor, duly worrying the preparation time is to short. Noah comes with him, but the unexpected arrival of a night watchman starts a spiral of panic actions leaving Guillaume, who demanded extra pay, behind after a fatal fall during a struggle. The attorney general personally intervenes to stop stop the 'diamond community witch hunt', but the stubborn prosecutor goes behind his back.
Episode 8
In the aftermath of the diamond theft, Noah asks Gila to go with them to London. But the prosecutor will not give up and continues to press the Wolfsons.
