Rosie wakes up in hospital after her brother Joey's wedding, where something embarrassing happened, and resolves to give up all her negative behaviors to regain Joey's trust and to support her dad through some difficult news.

Just as Joey and Rosie seem to have made up, a tragedy occurs. Everyone takes it very hard, including Rosie. With Nico in tow, she returns to her usual damaging behaviours, drinking excessively and seeking out kumquats on Deliveroo.

Rosie is still reeling from recent events; flashbacks reveal that she has been carrying much guilt over things that happened in her family's past. She agrees to attend rehab, but at the last minute she escapes into the countryside.

After escaping rehab, Rosie meets affable drug dealers Ken and Hat and accidentally takes meth. She goes on an odyssey, befriending trees and kids on bikes, and finds her way to Ruby and Joey's house where she discovers something shocking.

No-one is happy with Rosie abandoning her attempt at rehab. After being accused of secretiveness and hiding her bad behaviour Rosie goes on the attack. With her relationship with Joey in tatters, she tries talking to her mother.

Rosie is back at rehab after concern about her behaviour. She gets her hands on a counterfeit urine sample to pass a drugs test--but fails it. Back to present day, Rosie reveals that someone else has been keeping a secret from them all.
