Episode 1

Malahide Cottage

Dermot is back in the seaside town of Malahide, north Dublin, to help Robbie and Julie redevelop their 100 year old dilapidated abandoned cottage which they bought site unseen at an auction. The house is rotten and needs completely stripped out and rebuilt, but the couple hope to add an upstairs bedroom and use the huge rear garden to double its size. With the help of their son and an army of friends can Dermot deliver their dream home.

Rush

Dermot is heading to Balheary near Swords in North Dublin where he meets Enda, a sprout farmer who along with wife Mags, want to set up home in a former fisherman's house in the seaside town of Rush where he grew up. Aided by their architect student son David, Enda's brother and brother in law and an army of farmhands can Dermot get over Enda and Mags' crazy ideas and complete the huge project within their budget of 260,000 Euros.

Moate

Dermot Bannon is called in to help Irish Gaelic football star Dessie Dolan and wife Kelly, who are both teachers, turn a property on a dilapidated plot on the outskirts of the town of Moate in County Westmeath into a spectacular family home. It has been derelict for 15 years and the surrounding land is overgrown, so they decide to demolish the entire property and design a brand new home, all on a budget of 250,000 Euros.

In Sutton on the north end of Dublin Bay Dermot helps married couple James and Hannah modernise and extend a 1960s suburban house owned by Hannah's parents and which she inherited after their deaths. Will the couple manage to complete their project on a budget of 200.000 Euros.

Kildalkey

At Kildalkey in rural East Meath, Dermot Bannon renovates a farmhouse and barn gifted to newly engaged childhood sweethearts David and Celine, a family home at one time occupied by her Granny, now in her 90s, and late Grandad. 'Cois Shruchan' has been in the family for three generations but has not been occupied for three years and is stuck in the past. What can Dermot do with their budget of 200,000 Euros.

Templeogue

In Templeogue, Dermot Bannon and Lisa O'Brien revamp a typical 1970s suburban housing estate semi-detached property for newlyweds Rosie and Keith. Bought in 2013, it was typical of its day - cold, dark and uninsulated and needing radical modernisation. They have a budget 153,000 Euros to drag it into the 21st century, but the budget is in danger of running to over 200,000 Euros. Can Dermot and Lisa reign the couple in and complete the project without spending too much.
