Rookies
The crime series takes a refreshing look at police work as it follows young police academy recruits both in and outside of the classroom as they solve their first homicide cases. During their internship semester, students at the Police Academy in Halle an der Saale face their first homicide cases. It's up to them to solve these cases, with the support of their instructors from the homicide division. As expected, these beginners make mistakes, constantly learning new things on their journey to becoming trained detectives. In each episode a case is dissected, discussed and solved, with plenty of interaction between the worlds of college and real life. In addition, the series follows the personal lives of the students, instructors and trainers.
