Fourteen-year-old Scott is especially disappointed because since his mom has forbidden the three kids to be out after dark, his plans of "pranking like a bad boy" with his friends at night without adult supervision are ruined, and he'll have to go to a geeky youth Halloween party in the school cafeteria. After their mom leaves for an overnight shift at the hospital, the three kids are left home alone. Since Dave is upset about not having a large enough pumpkin to carve, Scott suggests that they become the town rebels by stealing pumpkins from an eccentric old farmer who knows more about Halloween tricks than they realize.

When the wolf mascot goes missing, Willie suspects that it is Big Yellow's doing and he tries to investigate what happened. Unfortunately, Willie is soon ambushed by Big Yellow, after he learns a very horrifying secret about the old mascot and he is eaten alive, causing Drake to realize his friend's fate and that Big Yellow isn't human at all.

Lisa, Amelia, and Meg come face to face with the Dreamcatcher. However, Lisa and Amelia wake up after the alarm goes off, but Meg ends up getting killed by the Dreamcatcher.
