Hanson v. Elgin and the Top Prospect Tournament Begins!

This week we see two Ring of Honor veterans on similar paths doing battle. We have "Mr. ROH" Roderick Strong taking on the sensei of "Redneck Kung Fu" Mark Briscoe. Roderick is emphatic in making 2015 his year, a win here could set the tone for what he promises to be is the year of Roderick Strong. Mark is not going to sit back and let his year start off on the wrong foot, looks for some fireworks in a meeting between two of the best in ROH. While the world celebrated the holidays, ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness was very busy. Nigel will have his plate full once again, as he gives notice on the standings in regards to who the #1 contender to the ROH World Championship is. He will also give us a long awaited update on the status of "The Sicilian Psychopath" Tommaso Ciampa. The time of year for the future stars of Ring of Honor is upon us. This week kicks off the prestigious Ring of Honor Top Prospect Tournament. The winner will not only receive the title of being the Top Prospect, they are also guaranteed a shot at the ROH World Television Championship. The first match in round 1, will see the villainous "One Man Wrecking Crew" J Diesel, led by Truth Martini facing off against someone with more heart than men twice his size, Will Ferrara. These two are no strangers to ROH fans or each other. It's the knuckle busting of Diesel against the unmatched heart and desire of Ferrara with a chance to advance on the line. Proof of the impact the Top Prospect Tournament can have on Ring of Honor, the 2014 Top Prospect winner Hanson will face off with former ROH World Champion Michael Elgin in our main event. After a recent match on ROH Television in which these two monsters battled to a no contest, both wanted more and petitioned for a re-match. Elgin feels Hanson has a short memory, as it was Elgin who mentored Hanson as part of War Machine early in his ROH career. Hanson feels that Elgin is delusional and wants to shut his mouth and score the biggest win of his career. A rematch of two of the biggest and baddest in Ring of Honor starts ROH Television in 2015 with a bang.

Alberto El Patron Makes His ROH TV Debut

This week's episode of Ring of Honor Television comes to you from the historic Tennessee State Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee. Our first match up features The Addiction's Frankie Kazarian taking on Cedric Alexander. Both are fan favorites and looking to outshine the other. Can the experience of Kazarian overcome the athleticism of Alexander? In another first round matchup of The ROH Top Prospect tournament, we will see a battle of big men. The 6'7" 270 pound New England standout Donovan Dijak takes on 6'8" 269 pound "Missouri Mad Man" Jake Dirden. Here we have the two biggest competitors in the Top Prospect Tournament facing off for the right to advance! ROH fans have been abuzz since the news that legendary Mexican aristocrat Alberto El Patrón would debut in Ring of Honor. With a week to go before his in ring debut El Patrón will have some special words for the Ring of Honor fans and superstars! After last week's chaotic ending on ROH Television featuring "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin, Hanson & The Sicilian Psychopath" Tommaso Ciampa, ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness will have a special announcement regarding the rightful number one contender for the ROH World Championship. Our main event will feature the first defense of the Ring of Honor World Championship in 2015 as champion Jay Briscoe takes on The Kingdom's Matt Taven. It has been over 2 years since Briscoe has been pinned or has submitted in a singles contest. Taven is fresh off a successful tour with New Japan Pro Wrestling and is performing at a peak level! History has proven that members of The Kingdom never come alone. What is the Kingdoms game plan? Jay Briscoe's championship proves he is currently the best wrestler in the world! The champion will definitely be ready. Will the man who calls himself "Must See" be ready? The Tennessee State Fairgrounds in Music City is the site of this week's loaded edition of Ring of Honor Television. We kick things off with a follow up from last week's main event. The Briscoe Brothers take on arch rivals The Kingdom: Matt Taven & Michael Bennett with Maria Kanellis. Jay Briscoe appeared to be finished with The Kingdom after winning Fight Without Honor at Final Battle 2014 against Kingdom member Adam Cole. Now Matt Taven, Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis have put the Briscoes on notice that there is a whole lot more coming their way. Weary of the constant interference of Maria Kanellis, Jay Briscoe has promised to have a surprise for Kanellis and the Kingdom!! This week's Top Prospect Tournament match-up features the 300 hundred pound mean and nasty Beer City Bruiser against the young, good looking, athletic, and all American boy, New England standout Mikey Webb. The much heralded Ring of Honor debut of the international superstar Alberto El Patron has arrived. The Mexican aristocrat makes his Ring of Honor Television debut, going one on one with ROH legend " The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels. As one half of the Addiction, Daniels (stepped up recently and signed on to welcome El Patron to Ring of Honor. Alberto is hungry to prove himself in ROH and quickly accepted the challenge. On the road to the 13th Anniversary Pay-per-View event on Sunday, March 1st, this week's edition of Ring of Honor Wrestling Television comes to you from the legendary 2300 Arena in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, PA. We kick things off with two Semi-Finals matches of the much talked about ROH Top Prospect Tournament. The impressive Donovan Dijak takes on the gutsy and inspirational Ashley Sixx. The boisterous duo's special guests will be former champions, The Young Bucks. With their ROH World Tag Team Championship match already signed between these two teams for the 13th Anniversary event on Pay-per-View for Sunday March 1st, you definitely do not want to miss this.
