The Storm

In Edinburgh Adam Elliott and his wife Grace are murdered for money by a drug-addicted thief. Adam's siblings Claire and Rob return to the rural community where their mother Louise lives, to comfort her and Grace's parents Moira and Bill though Louise is resistant to ex-husband Peter arriving. During a storm the two families help a car crash victim but realize that he is the murderer so they imprison him. Next morning he is found dead with Moira believing that either Rob or her son Jamie killed him. The families agree to close ranks but, since the murderer Lee Walsh, has been sighted in the area detective Andrew Barker arrives from Edinburgh to pursue him.
