Lili is a 17-year-old typist who works at Le Musee de l'Homme. She helps her boss Boris produce a newsletter for the Resistance. She soon becomes more involved in the group at the museum working as a courier. She meets Jeannot - a youth who tries to escape to England to join De Gaulle - The Kirschens - a Jewish family whose two boys are keen to join the Resistance - and Rene (The Kid) - who works at the garage that smuggles the airmen out of Paris and distributes the newsletter.
