The team prepares to celebrate Capitaine Ghemara's birthday when they receive word that he has been shot in the chest and is in critical condition. Colonel Derville informs that Adjudant-chef Claire Linski, specially transferred to Bordeaux SR, will investigate the case and must find Anouk Dubosc, witness to the attack and Ghemara's childhood friend. Against their wishes, Derville entrusts the SR with the murder of Coralie Maubert, 24, on the day of her wedding to Romain Chartrand, heir to a large fortune.

While Adjudant-chef Linski and son Julien settle in the garrison house, Bernier has been questioned all night by Commandant Valton, convinced that Ghemara is dealing with cocaine with trafficker Tony Charky, whom the Capitaine met in his teens. Colonel Derville does not agree with Valton, who wants to imprison the Major, and to keep him out of reach, entrusts Bernier and the SR with a new case: gendarme Saulnier's corpse found in a bird hide with a shot to the temple which points to suicide. He was depressed, recently divorced and his performance at work had resented.

A boy gets up at night calling his mother and wakes up father Thierry, who discovers that she is not in bed and that her car is missing. An empty car in the woods out of the road reveals a woman's handbag in the back seat. The next day Thierry Dubreuil informs Adjutant-chef Linsky about his wife's disappearance. No one has seen Patricia Dubreuil since she left the gym where she teaches "stretching". She was expecting and happy to share the good news with Thierry.

Manon, 9, is found in front of her school with her dress covered in blood. Her mother, Sonia Villers has been stabbed in the kitchen of the hotel where she worked. She and Manon were about to travel to Japan, where she would become executive assistant of a five-star hotel. During the SR investigation, Valérie Courbet, Manon's teacher, takes care of the young girl at her home.

A stranger takes photos of the Lemoine's while Julie instructs babysitter Vanessa Bommel on how to take care of her newborn baby Justin while she is out. When her husband Alain returns home, he finds that the baby and Vanessa are missing. Boyfriend Mathias Ferrero is considered Vanessa's partner in crime. A kidnapping alert is triggered and the SR ask for the help of Dr Rosen, a psychoanalyst who used to treat Vanessa when she was younger. The SR is surprised when Vanessa's parents, who she claimed dead in a car accident, show up at the Gendarmerie.
