Reno goes to see her friend who tells him where she is. When he finds her, he can't help but see how much she resembles Val. She claims that she caught her husband fooling around with some girls and told him she's done. But he said he won't allow that. That's when someone knocked her out and when she woke up she found her husband dead and she was holding the murder weapon which is hers. When the mobster's men find her and she grabs a gun and has it trained on one of them but she doesn't shoot which convinces Reno she's innocent, But they still don't have any proof so he decides to go on the run with her.

Dutch says he has one when in reality he doesn't and when the police learn he lied they're forced to go in but it doesn't work out the way they planned.
