Episode 1
Redemption Inc. is a business meets documentary show where a group of ex-offenders are given an opportunity of a lifetime - to set up their own business under the guidance of Dragon's Den headliner and multi-millionaire businessman Kevin O'Leary. Kevin believes many ex-criminals have the entrepreneurial skills to succeed in business and he's willing to invest $100,000 in the one who can prove it. But Kevin's personal investment must be earned - this is not a handout charity scheme. The process will take its course through a series of tough and revealing challenges and tasks. Over a transformative eight episodes every participant will experience a life-changing journey and ultimately a single 'winner' will emerge. That ex-offender will walk away with Kevin's financial backing and an amazing new opportunity to run their own business.
Episode 2
The candidates take over operations of the Oriole ship of Mariposa Cruises in Toronto Harbour, but to do so they all must summon their sales, communication, and service-related skill sets to make it a successful day.
Episode 3
The next trial by fire for the candidates focuses on customer service and customer relationships. Eve MacArthur of Spaw Boutique works with the group to open a pop-up dog grooming spa in a west-end Toronto park with merchandise for sale.
Episode 4
Fundraising is all about metrics, and to succeed in their next challenge the remaining candidates must sell a minimum of $3,500 worth of 50/50 raffle tickets on behalf of the Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment Team Up Foundation.
Episode 5
Innovation drives business, and for their next task the candidates must develop a new men's bath product line for Upper Canada Soap. Will the team deliver the goods on the product line on time, or will they put a dent in the bottom line?
Episode 6
The intrinsic value of art is as much, if not more, about enlightening the human spirit as it is about sales, a lesson everyone, including Kevin O'Leary, will learn as the candidates host a lively evening at the Nicholas Metivier Gallery.
Episode 7
In their first solo challenge the candidates design their own custom beverage stand that they will then use to sell coconut water at Toronto's Baskerville Festival. The question is- What strategy will each candidate use to achieve success?
Episode 8
The three final candidates must prepare and present a business pitch to Kevin O'Leary and his panel of experts to convince them that their business model is worthy of a $100,000 investment on behalf of Kevin O'Leary.
Episode 9
Six months after filming Redemption Inc., Kevin O'Leary visits the winner. Channeling the energy and enthusiasm they garnered from their experience on Redemption Inc., the remaining candidates feel they too can achieve success. Legally.
