A bloody murder weapon has been discovered and the Gardaí are on high alert, the murder suspect must still be lying low in Red Rock. Unfortunately for Nikki, various sightings have led to dead end after dead end. However, there's a sudden breakthrough and Adrijan and Sean think they've finally cornered the assailant. A frantic chase on foot ensues, but when Sean turns a corner the suspect disappears - could the murderer be about to slip right through their fingers? Baby Luke is finally home from the hospital and doting Granddad Vinnie can't take his eyes off his new grandson. However, resentment runs deep for Keith who still has issues with Luke's dad being a Hennessy. With Patricia and David on their way for a visit, will the Kielys keep the peace for the sake of Luke? Beady Burke makes an unwelcome return to Paudge's life. He has one more job for him and then he'll be out of his life forever. Paudge has heard this all before, can he really trust the criminal's word?

Paudge is summoned by Burke, who is angry that the drugs were confiscated and demands more cooperation in future. Bridget is suspicious when Patricia, far from demanding that Katie aborts her baby, offers her help and arranges for a doctor's appointment for reassurance.

Conor returns from rehab but Angela, unsure as to whether he will remain drug-free, lies to his younger brother Stephen that he has been in New York. Sharon investigates a case of domestic abuse but the supposed victim Eva Tully denies that boyfriend Josh Green has assaulted her. Meanwhile the Kielys are not happy that Patricia has agreed to fund Katie's medical treatment, Bridget suggesting that Vincent turns to crime to get the money.

Having failed to persuade the clinging Eva Tully to testify against her boyfriend Sharon finds another way of trapping him whilst Conor impresses Angela by attending an addictions group. After refusing to act as a getaway driver Vincent is not happy when Keith steals a pram with a purse in it but is offered a job in security when he returns them to their owner.

As Adrijan returns to duty Vincent also starts his new job. Paudge is called to the hospital to find a badly beaten Ollie, savagely attacked for pocketing drugs he was meant to sell. Paudge suggests he testify against Burke but instead gets an unwelcome visit from the drug dealer. Angela is surprised to find Conor working at the Reeds' café but gets an assurance from Tommy that he will stay with her whilst Adrijan ends up having a one night stand with Joan Curry.

The station is evacuated when a little boy brings in a live grenade he found on a bus and there is a surprise when the Garda locate the sweet little old lady who was innocently carrying it around with her. Paudge is still worried that Burke may be trying to get to him through his mother and taken aback when she presents him with an envelope full of money and Vincent considers quitting his job but Bridget persuades him that it could be worthwhile staying on whilst Adrijan keeps quiet about his one night stand with Joan Curry but goes back for more.

Derek Sawyer complains that his son's grave has been vandalized and takes the law into his own hands when the police do nothing. Michael is coerced by his mother into attending a charity event where he meets the flirtatious Siobhan Reilly but is forced to tell her the truth about his crime. Meanwhile Vincent has cause to regret Bridget visiting him at work and Burke piles more pressure on Paudge to keep him informed on police movements.

Vincent is arrested following Bridget's theft from his work-place and complains of police harassment but is released when Katie intervenes. Derek Sawyer is also arrested following a stand-off in the graveyard with the Garda discovering a feud between himself and the vandal, though they do effect a truce. Paudge however finds himself permanently in the clutches of Beady Burke.

Angela's suggestion to the Kielys that they agree to a manslaughter plea bargain is not well received and Patricia's offer of compensation for the same drives Keith to an act of vandalism. Paudge receives a tip-off from Beaky Burke, resulting in the arrest of a rival drug dealer.

Following Keith's graffiti incident Patricia persuades Claire to ensure that the Kielys look bad in court. Angela gets a visit from Tommy's girlfriend suggesting she 'let him go' but is cheered when Tommy agrees to stay with the family whilst Michael gets another chance with Siobhan and Sean is appalled to learn the identity of Adrijan's secret lover.

Conor is under suspicion when money goes missing from the café and walks out in protest, shielding Rachel, the actual thief. Tommy finds out and agrees not to tell Angela. The Garda field a team against the local estate in a bridge-building football match but afterwards find that their opponents have robbed them. James never makes it to the match as he and Claire discover stab wound victim Davey Webb and take him to hospital.

Whilst Adrijan and Sean lean on Keith Kiely to regain their possessions James and Nikki interview Davey Webb. Initially reluctant to talk he finally admits that he was wrongly assumed to be the informant who led to Burke's rival, Laser Byrne, being arrested after the information Burke gave to Paudge. James warns Paudge that they are dealing with ruthless people and innocently advises Paudge to bear in mind his informant's safety. Liam reinstates Conor after discovering that Rachel was the thief but Angela is annoyed that Tommy and Conor kept everything from her.

David's been released without charge, much to the immense anger of the Kielys. As the severe gravity of his own actions dawn on David, he realizes that the only way to put things right is to speak to Katie and convince her of his innocence. However, David could quickly live to regret this decision when confronted with an armed Vinnie and Keith ready to serve their own brand of justice. The Hennessy brothers beat Darren to death and now it's time for the Kielys to do the same. An eye for an eye, a brother for a brother. Heavily pregnant Claire's waters have broken in dramatic fashion, mid interrogation of her brother David in the Garda station. Appalled by her mother's deceit, Claire refuses to let Patricia into the delivery suite, instead insisting that she'll go it alone. Without James by her side, it's up to her and her alone to welcome their daughter into the world. However, can Patricia persuade Claire to put the most recent Hennessy drama behind her and let her support her during the birth of her grandchild? Sergeant Johno may be new to the station but he's not afraid to ruffle a few feathers. An unsuspecting Paudge is his first target, pulling a prank that leaves him the laughing stock of the station.
