The Nano Bots have rebuilt Red Dwarf and Lister, Kochansi, Kryten and Cat find that the Nano Bots have not only rebuilt the ship, the Nano Bots have resurrected the crew and they find themselves in big trouble, as they find themselves standing trial for a series of crimes. Lister tries to persuade Rimmer to allow him to escape and to track down the Nano Bots, the only way for Lister to convince Rimmer is by helping Rimmer find the Luck virus in Starbug's wreckage.

Back in the Red: Part 2

After discovering the luck virus and the confidential reports in Starbugs wreckage, Rimmer begins his scheme to get promoted, and he begins to impress Captain Hoillister and the sexual virus he has also found in Starbugs wreckage is making him attractive to every female crew member on-board Red Dwarf. Kryten is reprogrammed and has his factory settings restored. And Lister takes some of the luck virus and he Kochanski and Cat set out to escape and search for the Nano Bots.

Their first assignment is to investigate a abandoned spaceship on a ocean planet, where they discover Cassandra, a computer that can predict the future. But it spells bad news for Rimmer, when Cassandra predicts that he is going to die.

Kryten, Kochanski and Cat investigate a derelict spacecraft, where they discover "The time Wand" a time device.

Rimmer is sent in, hoping for success before Red Dwarf is destroyed by the Microbe.
