The recipe for this innovative culinary competition series is equal parts cooking and cunning. Hosted by standup comedian Max Silvestri, "Recipe for Deception" pits four chefs against each other in head-to-head elimination rounds designed to test their abilities cooking with a featured ingredient. Unfortunately for the chefs, the main ingredient is a secret. Before they begin cooking, the competing chefs ask each other three "yes or no" questions to determine their secret ingredients, while the opposing chefs provide two truthful answers and one outright lie. Each chef will be operating on a knife-edge as they attempt to detect the deception and avoid the wrong ingredients.
