Van's new Mustang, which he has nicknamed 'Rhonda,' is coming between him and Cheyenne. Not only does Van talk about the car as if it's another woman, but they cannot even use the car if they need to go somewhere as a family because the backseat doesn't have seat belts. When Van and Cheyenne borrow Reba's car to run an errand, Reba uses Van's car to take Jake to basketball practice. She enjoys driving the car so much that she and Kyra take it for another ride and Reba accidentally scratches the fender. As she and Kyra are plotting to fix the fender before Van sees the scratch, Barbara Jean borrows the car and thinks that she scratched it. Then Cheyenne comes home thinking that she scratched the car when she hit it with her purse. Barbara Jean and Cheyenne both try to take the blame for the scratch, but Reba finally admits that she did it.

Barbara Jean suspects that Brock is having an affair and asks Reba to talk to him about it. When Reba asks him about an affair, Brock admits that he has been seeing a therapist who prescribed him anti-depressants. When he tells Barbara Jean, she urges him to stop taking the pills and tells Reba that she will no longer speak to her if Reba supports Brock taking the medicine. Brock tells Reba that he thinks that he will stop taking the pills, but she tells him not to stop taking the pills just because Barbara Jean tells him. She admits that she took anti-depressants for a while after she and Brock divorced and that the pills really helped her. Cheyenne and Van volunteer to chaperon Kyra on a date with her boyfriend Scott, but Scott breaks up with Kyra just before their date. Kyra and Cheyenne have a fight when Kyra says that she isn't stupid enough to make the same mistakes that Cheyenne did and wouldn't have let Scott pressure her to do anything she wasn't ready for even though he was three-years-older than she. Van mediates the argument and both admit that they respect the other for following a rough path.
