Initially a weekly live MTV.com talk show with Saul Friedman as host and a rotating former Real World cast member as co-host for the Denver season, the After Show evolved into a MTV television talk show following select episodes of "Real World" on the network. For the initial season, immediately after The Real World Denver aired live on the east coast, the show went live and Saul and his co-host welcome a guest from the current season of Real World via webcam and the trio discusses what happened on that nights episode. The conversation is guided by phone calls and instant messages from the viewers. The show was broadcast live on MTV.com and was available after on the website and MTV On Demand. All other iterations were half-hour editions recapping recent plot events with cast from the season with a live studio audience and different segments.
